The right foods from here taste amazing. The problem, is that if you enjoy any of the items aside from the rice, daal, papadam or the sombals, and small handful of appetizers, you won't be able to rely on having them again in the future. What do I mean? Well, according to the business themselves, "variety is the spice of life". You see, that's the answer that was given after my wife and I have been long time supporters of them for years and simply asked when they would have their garlic curry available again. We asked because the last time we came in, it wasn't available. We thought, like any reasonable establishment, that was just because they weren't serving it that day. So, we opted to try the cucumber curry as it was the only version they had available. As we waited, we were already turned off by the unwelcoming atmosphere (the staff is so utterly dreadful, you'd think you were placing an order in a prison while the cafeteria person is begrudgingly serving you). Seriously, they don't just not smile, they look particularly upset. They (yes, several staff members) have a very bothered tone of voice, an overly quick conduct, and ignore parts of what you say at times unless it's a direct request. The waitress showed sass when we were confused about the appetizer that came out because we ordered two. When my wife asked for clarification on what the dish was, she said "the other one is coming out" with a forced smile. She literally misunderstood us asking for clarity on which food we were eating as if we were being impatient on where the other food was, and all because she wasn't paying attention to what was being asked of her. We were worried something was wrong with their staff from the last time we came in person and we said right after our meal: "We just wanted to say thanks so much for the food!" and the man just made a face as if he was disturbed/confused and said "Yeah, sure". Completely ungrateful and off-putting of a demeanor. But going back to this instance, it gets worse! Being that we were the only people there eating, my wife noticed that the lady at the counter moved her body angled in our direction, and with the camera facing towards us and in front of her own face, the flash goes off. She tried to quickly move her phone out of view and looked very nervous. She awkwardly took a secret photo of us which, although legal, is such bad-taste. People don't like being taken off guard while eating and on top of that, not even understand why you are specifically taking a photo of them (not analogous to people being in the background of a photo unintentionally). Later that day, we noticed that their Insta account showed a picture of our exact plate before it was handed to us but nothing showing us. Which means, to this day, the reason remains completely unknown. Anyways, we didn't like the cucumber curry but found the staples like the rice and impossible meatballs good as usual. It was just disappointing because that wasn't the heart of the meal. The whole part we raved about in our original Google review was specifically about how decadent their garlic curry was. How well cooked their potatoes were. How genius the kale mallum was. How slightly sweet and yet savory the minced beetroot was. Again, we aren't upset that it wasn't available the exact day we stopped by. We were upset by the response when we messaged them on Insta about when their garlic curry would be available again. They couldn't tell us. They then got defensive and tried invalidating the whole reason we raved about them by telling us "variety is what makes us special!". Imagine going to your favorite restaurant and not getting the dish or set of dishes you adore because "variety tho". Instead of being candid on why some items would be too difficult for them to keep because of say, their finances, they just say it would be "impossible". They compared us to other customers who return "regardless of if their dishes change". But wait! We could get it again, IF we did catering with them for a $250+ order. No remorse, no reason, and no...
Read moreFirst of all I am remiss that I did not take photos of our food. :( We got a lot. And we were HONGRY when it arrived. We ordered the following:
Deviled Chick'n Fried Rice Meal Kottu Roti Godamba Roti Hot Chili Coconut Roti Chick'n Curry Polos Curry Rice & Curry Plate
So to break it down here is what you NEED TO KNOW:
1-we had 3 adults and 2 kids eating this. We had hella leftovers which we didn't think we would. Lots and lots of food.
2-they AIN'T playin' with the spice y'all. They say it's spicy. It IS. It isn't false advertising. It's spicy. When they say the chick'n is spicier than the jackfruit y'all it IS. It's GOOD but dayum it's spicy!!!
3-whatever bread you think you want, double or triple the order because it's REALLY good. No. But really. And it helps in between that spicy food.
I thought we ordered for individual meals but apparently we ordered to share. Y'all I was borderline HANGRY. And I ordered the Kattu Roti NOT to share. I couldn't even finish half and it was GOOD. I don't know how to describe the flavor OR the spice but that it's similar to Indian food but not the same. It's different. And very very good. So many flavors and textures in the food and they all burst on my taste buds.
What blew my mind, even as a nearly 10 year vegan, is HOW realistic the "meat" of the jackfruit (Polos) and Chick'n was. Tender AF. Moist. Juicy and spicy lol. All the very very good things.
The bread, when they say "thick" it IS. And y'all it's SO good. I mean SO good. Fluffy. Light. But thick and it really helps between those spicy bites.
There wasn't ANYTHING I didn't love. I'd 100% have the Kattu Roti again. So much flavor and texture and I cannot believe how delicious. I really loved each bite because the flavor was outstanding.
I feel like the description they put on the website is accurate for each dish so I won't bore you. But there is NO way I could explain the flavors, textures and boldness you'll experience when you try it. I'll be back FOR sure....

Extremely disappointing visit. We were excited to visit this place and went out of our way just to get here. Our experience consisted of a disorganized staff, long wait times despite there being only 4 guests and food that was not even heated up. It was pretty clear to see that more than half of every plate has the same sides and food; all of which is cold. So the only thing that can save this is the main dish. But I am sad to report that this is not the case. And this is not a foreigner who is not used to the food, quite the contrary. The whole atmosphere is full, as there is hardly anyone cleaning the table, despite the fact that we have to order at the counter which should free up time for other things. A highly unskilled staff makes all this worse, as the kitchen seems like a storage locker, devoid of much activity. The ultimate insult on top of all this is the mandatory 20% tips for this level of quality and service. Great for the staff’s paycheck, zero value for the customer.
Special mentions of the bad service: One man saying we cannot sit inside despite being fully vaccinated for covid and presenting proof. He didn’t know what the meaning of fully vaccinated was, and mindlessly kept repeating that we need a booster. The woman at the reception who took an actual 10 mins to note down our order, and royally messing up by not even getting the name right, causing even more delays. And it bears repeating that this was not peak hours and there were only 4-5 total customers; the rest of the tables had dirty plates. All the food taking almost an hour to get served. The exact amount of time required for everything to be cold and...
