Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Portland

I would rate lower if it was an option. This location is insulting bad. I understand that it’s a pandemic and things are complicated at the moment but I have never since this location opened had a single instance that I had my ordered prepared correctly in one visit, waited less than 45 minutes for an order or had any level of manners from the staff. Now add a pandemic and you have a building with 15 people in the kitchen at a time and not one manages to keep their mask on properly during the time it takes me to pick up a mobile order. The space in the store is limited so there is no possibility of distancing when you are waiting 45 minutes for an order with 6 items, two of which will be forgotten. I have tried being patient... drove back dozens of times to try and correct missing items they charge me for. I have tried calling the store... but they don’t even have a functioning phone. I have spoke with the manager and the best they offer is sorry, lemme give a free sandwich that you have to drive across town and wait 45 minutes around impatient Door Dash drivers to get. Get thanks. At this point I have made so many trips back to correct incompetence that you all owe me a tank of gas. Bottom line, I will never again visit this location. It’s not worth paying thirty dollars for two chicken sandwiches, biscuits...

I visited on 7/13/24 and was waited on by Jose. We ordered a side of popcorn shrimp and a two can dine chicken tender basket with an online coupon. Our total came to $20 and my two kids and I had left overs. Jose was polite and helpful. He gave us an extra ranch instead of a cocktail sauce we didn’t want. He prepared our order quickly and was happy to help us the additional 3 times we went to the counter, for particular requests - water cups, to go boxes, honey etc. We dined in the restaurant. Our food was fresh, warm, and what you’d expect if you’re a popeyes fan. There was a couple interesting folks in the parking lot spray painting their car. I was slightly concerned their artistic endeavors might extend beyond their own vehicle (which it never did), but I was relieved to see Popeyes employees keeping an eye on the same thing. I was impressed that they were offering service inside and out. I wanted to leave a review of our positive experience since this location has taken some flack. We’ve visited 3 times so far and every time our order is generous, accurate, and fresh. The staff are respectful and helpful every time we visit. If you care about honey on a biscuit, ask for it when you get your bag. They never make an issue about...

So I went through the drive-thru to order a chicken nuggets combo, like I always do, only to find them nowhere on the menu. I asked about it and they had no idea what I was talking about and I was starting to feel like I had lost my mind and imagined all my past orders! So he told me to just come into the lobby instead. I did, only to wait around another 10 minutes because no one was working the counter. Finally, with no clarification from staff, I just decided to order boneless wings, with no idea if that was even similar to my previous orders. Thankfully it is similar. Not the same and not as good, but close. Anyway, while waiting I took a sip of my drink only for it to pour all down the front of me! There were NO NAPKINS. Like, purposefully. Nothing was out and it took a full minute to get someone's attention to give us some. I was so flustered by all of that that I made it all the way home before noticing they didn't include biscuits in our combos.
