It says a lot that the only reviews that get responses, it seems, are five star reviews. They don't seem to address critical reviews, and this one will be critical.
I can see I'm not alone in my disappointment of how Taco Time has changed over the years.
Some of the items, spot on for the times in terms of price to quantity. Other items I ask myself if they realize the joke they are serving.
And that doesn't touch quality one way or another, cause I've gotten wildly different levels of quality depending on who's working.
This sums up the local Taco Times; in the Seattle to Kelso area there is one Taco Time franchise that serves a salad that has beans, meat, tomato's, cheese, lettuce, in a decent shell, for $7.19.
This location served a 1 1/4" tall shell with shredded lettuce and meat for $5.19.
$5.19, for basically nothing.
That was like a taco salad that you'd get at a concession stand, pre made in bulk, and not something fresh made and worth the money.

Read moreThis little Taco Time is such a wonderful little stop. The women who mostly work in there are fantastic, so helpful and sweet. They are really doing a fantastic job right now in dealing with the pandemic. So clean inside the restaurant and the employees are very respectful full and the food is simple and delicious for a fast food meal. One employee in particular was just amazing she went above and beyond and she was so delightful to be around with a big warm smile and a genuinely beautiful disposition. I believe her name was Monique. She spoke English perfectly as some of the employees did not. However she made our trip there memorable and we walked away in a great mood. So I would give them five stars for everything I just mentioned but I really do think the prices could come down a bit. At least try to compete with McDonald's on...
Read moreI hadn't been to TT since the 80s and remember really enjoying it. I was disappointed in my experience. The food was just alright, the problem was that it seemed really expensive for what we got. We both got a burrito - $6.99 each. My burrito - the Big Juan - wasn't cohesive. The little meat it had in it was in a small lump near one end. Both ends were nothing but sour cream. Near the other end was rice. I didn't get a bite that had everything in it because nothing was really together. Although we ordered "stuffed Mexi-fries" we got a small order of tater tots for $3.99 instead. The 16 tater tots we got were tasty but not worth $4 and, anyway, not what we wanted. The location has no drive thru and is a bit run down. The staff were...
