I have been a long time customer of Que Pasa and have, for years, brought many different groups of friends to this wonderful establishment. However, tonight with a group of nine friends, we had the worst experience I have ever encountered at this restaurant. We waited over an hour for our beverages to be delivered to the table. We had ordered happy hour appetizers at the same time we ordered our drinks, and those came at least 25 minutes later, only after we inquired about them. When our drinks were delivered, we ordered our dinners in hopes that they would get to us before we had to leave for another engagement. Our server never really checked in with us. We had to wave him down, and he kept telling us he would have to go check in the kitchen. At one point, we suggested perhaps we needed to cancel our dinner order, but he promised us he’d get our dinner to us before our deadline of leaving at 6:30. The remainder of our food showed up at about 6:20. We had to scramble to eat to get out for our next event. There was zero communication about what the holdup might have been. I think everybody in our party enjoyed their food and drink, but it would have been very helpful to have been told ahead of time that the Kitchen was swamped, or that they were working with fewer servers than usual and that our meals might take longer than expected. Just any communication about what was happening might’ve helped us make better decisions. We were also a little shocked to pay a 22% gratuity when frankly, we did a fair bit of the work. We got our own silverware, we found our own napkins and we had to wave down the server when we needed something that we couldn’t handle on our own. It’s not that we wouldn’t tip we’ll, it just wasn’t one of those situations where it was warranted unfortunately. We will have to think twice before we decide to return, especially on an evening when we have...
Read moreIt is a nice time of year to sit outside in their enclosed patio area. Robbie the waitstaff was very attentive and kind and was very accommodating to accessibility needs, thank you!
Food was great. The chicken flautas were so good, the green sauce really pops with flavor. The enchilada casserole was super delicious. It comes with a salad which was good but it comes on the same plate whi h made the lettuce warm which is less desirable. The green goddess dressing is yum! I've been here before and had a different dish with rice and the rice was dry. I would say it was the same this time a little on the dry side, but overall the meal was delicious.
Accessibility: I don't feel the inside or patio is wheelchair accessible enough.
Size accessible in some areas and there are two patio areas where the further back patio area is more spaced out for size accessibility. All outside seating is picnic table style, inside has tables which chairs and one area with bench and chair seating. Accessibility for those with mobility devices may be more comfortable in the further back patio area (again a wheelchair cant fit through the access points from inside but there were some doors that open from inside the patio to the sidewalk, just not certain a wheelchair could fit). There are a couple small steps and angled and uneven spots to walk on to access back...
Read moreI wanted to check this place out for happy hour to get a chance to taste flavors for future visits. The food was good, great serving sizes and fantastic chips that went further than just salt which definitely helps them stand out.
Why 4 stars then and not 5? Very small issues and one I knew would be a issue and yet a chose the dish anyway knowing I would either love or hate it, And that dish was Mac-N-Cheese. I know better that to order comfort dishes at places not known for that but I decided to try it anyway and bland it was.
The happy hour nacho was great size and came out quick, but in the haste to get it out it doesn’t look like the pintos were drained thoroughly enough before plating. I do appreciate the baked cheese and absence of “cheese” sauce.
The tacos were fantastic and would’ve been great on there own with just some chips and a cold beer, definitely a 9.5/10.
My two gripes outside of the Mac N cheese is the requirement to order a drink to qualify for happy hour prices on the food. Sucks if you’re trying to maintain sobriety but I suppose a lemonade, soda or tea would satisfy this requirement. The other issue is making your beer and iceberg, not worth adding slushie ice to your beer. It just waters it down in my opinion.
Overall would return here for dinner and happy hour but just order as I ate and not...
