So my wife went in here the other day and raved about the place. She said the burgers were good and the onion rings were "To die for." I am a burger critic who does video burger reviews, so when she got home, she said I was going there to do a review.... so I did.
I walked in and the place was very clean with ambient music playing above. I ordered the single burger combo with the onion rings. The burger was good. It was a well seasoned 5.3 ounce (I believe that's what she said it was) patty that came with cheese, lettuce, pickles, Roma tomatoes, diced onions and their house sauce. The patty itself was cooked very well being as thin a it was. It's really easy to overcook them and dry them out, but this burger was cooked really well. The onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes were well portioned and melded together very well. The house sauce called the Spot Sauce had a zesty flavor to it and added a little zing to the flavor profile. I rated the burger on my video review as a 6.9 (good) on the flavor and just missed a 7
Read moreI do not even know where to begin… This restaurant is FANTASTIC!!! WE stumbled upon it looking for a family-friendly, casual restaurant near Revolution Hall. I walked in with my UK basketball playing on my phone and was THRILLED to see several TVs playing football games. I arrived thinking I was going to have a burger, but then I saw the chicken tenders on the menu and changed my mind. Ummm… WOW!!! I went with the spicy tenders with the spot sauce and onion rings. No lie- the BEST chicken tenders and onion rings I have had! The chicken pieces were huge and as much as I hate to use the word “moist”- it was moist on the inside and the right amount of crisp on the the outside and the spice had the perfect amount of heat with a surprising taste of sweet that was CRAZY good and the onion rings are the thin kind with the flaky batter (I have not found those anywhere in Oregon, but they were my favorites growing up in the south). And- this restaurant carried my favorite soda- Cherry Pepsi. I literally cannot remember the last time I sat through a meal saying, “this is soooo good!!!” The staff was all very nice and helpful, but to top it off, a lady (who I assumed was a manager) came out and asked how everything was… when we were tripping over ourselves exclaiming how much we loved it, she was so humble and thankful- then she told us she was the owner and it was a family business. I didn’t get her name, but we will be back with friends and family- it was THAT good- and I still have to try the burgers! If you haven’t checked this place out yet- you REALY, REALLY need to!! We will be back...
Read moreGiven the amusing name, I didn't have any high expectations when I first tried this place. My partner had suggested this and heard it was good, so why not?
The clean interior of this place is unassuming, so I was not prepared for the chicken tenders to knock my socks off. Their tenders are so darn juicy (I saw the owner respond to another reviewer about brining for 24 hours). I never knew it was possible to make them that juicy—could probably drip after a good squeeze—so they've created a fan out of me. I can never tolerate dry chicken tenders from now on.
The people who work here are super nice too! They bring your food to your table, which is appreciated. My partner is a picky eater (hates anything that has mayonnaise, for example) and they were accommodating and not rude when they had forgotten to take the sauce off his burger one time and he asked to have it remade. He does likes spicy stuff so they gave him some of their dry spice seasoning on the side. The milkshakes are pretty standard—made from Tillamook ice cream, so they're a nice accompaniment to the food. I haven't tried their onion rings yet, which I saw good reviews about! Will need to try those next time.
Apparently the tip is shared amongst the staff and not just towards the owner like some places do, so that's nice! I'm glad to know about this place and support them now as I consider this spot one of my favorites now. Good service,...
