So my wife went in here the other day and raved about the place. She said the burgers were good and the onion rings were "To die for." I am a burger critic who does video burger reviews, so when she got home, she said I was going there to do a review.... so I did. I walked in and the place was very clean with ambient music playing above. I ordered the single burger combo with the onion rings. The burger was good. It was a well seasoned 5.3 ounce (I believe that's what she said it was) patty that came with cheese, lettuce, pickles, Roma tomatoes, diced onions and their house sauce. The patty itself was cooked very well being as thin a it was. It's really easy to overcook them and dry them out, but this burger was cooked really well. The onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes were well portioned and melded together very well. The house sauce called the Spot Sauce had a zesty flavor to it and added a little zing to the flavor profile. I rated the burger on my video review as a 6.9 (good) on the flavor and just missed a 7< (very good) based on the size of the burger. They do have double, triple and quad patty burgers as well so you can order based on your appetite. The onion rings were good. I can't be positive, but it looked like they were panko beaded. Whichever it was, I like the choice of breading. My only critique of these would be the size of the slices. The taste was really good, but they were a little thin. Make sure you get a side of the Spot Sauce for dipping. This place is an Asian and woman owned brick and mortar that started out as a food truck. I talked with Jane, the owner, for a bit after I did my review and she was really nice. We had a good talk about how important it is to support our Asian community and Asian owned businesses. I highly recommend this place, and my family will definitely be repeat customers.

Burger junkie here and finally got the chance to try Hit The Spot. Wow! Awesome burgers offered in a simple way, no holds barred attention to detail, and great flavor. Ricky helped me get started and was very helpful from order to cleanup. The entire staff was great, by the way. The pride shows! I had a 2x2 with bacon and it really hit the spot! Ah, see what I did there? Burger is assembled and wrapped carefully in paper wrap and bag. Can't wait for the Vancouver location to open later this year! Will be a regular customer forever! Update: Nov 2023, the Vancouver location fell through, but a Portland location was found. Nice facilities with clean bathrooms, plenty of seating, and a comfy atmosphere. Staff is amazing and the burgers remain impossibly great. Chicken tenders are the absolute best, super tender with an amazing battered crust. Nothing quite like it. Also optioned for onion rings...again, super fantastic, crispy and just the right amount of onion. Seasonal offering was a pumpkin spice milkshake that was super duper yummy.

We were going to do a very popular chain burger place and instead we decided to look for a local spot instead. So glad we came across this place. Very clean. The customer service was wonderful. I am not sure if the one attending was one of the owners but I think she was. Regardless, she was SO kind and now in days that’s rare. We got burgers and fries a side of onion rings, got tenders and milkshakes. Burgers are delicious, if I was a local this would be my spot for burgers! The tenders were really good, I think they could use a tad more seasoning but otherwise it was cooked perfectly. I liked the onion rings my husband didn’t, so I guess it’s based on the style onion rings you like. Milkshakes were good we got all 3 flavors, vanilla bean, chocolate and, strawberry. My favorite was strawberry. Prices are consistent with other spots offering similar products. But at least here you are supporting a local business and ingredients are fresh and good quality.

I do not even know where to begin… This restaurant is FANTASTIC!!! WE stumbled upon it looking for a family-friendly, casual restaurant near Revolution Hall. I walked in with my UK basketball playing on my phone and was THRILLED to see several TVs playing football games. I arrived thinking I was going to have a burger, but then I saw the chicken tenders on the menu and changed my mind. Ummm… WOW!!! I went with the spicy tenders with the spot sauce and onion rings. No lie- the BEST chicken tenders and onion rings I have had! The chicken pieces were huge and as much as I hate to use the word “moist”- it was moist on the inside and the right amount of crisp on the the outside and the spice had the perfect amount of heat with a surprising taste of sweet that was CRAZY good and the onion rings are the thin kind with the flaky batter (I have not found those anywhere in Oregon, but they were my favorites growing up in the south). And- this restaurant carried my favorite soda- Cherry Pepsi. I literally cannot remember the last time I sat through a meal saying, “this is soooo good!!!” The staff was all very nice and helpful, but to top it off, a lady (who I assumed was a manager) came out and asked how everything was… when we were tripping over ourselves exclaiming how much we loved it, she was so humble and thankful- then she told us she was the owner and it was a family business. I didn’t get her name, but we will be back with friends and family- it was THAT good- and I still have to try the burgers! If you haven’t checked this place out yet- you REALY, REALLY need to!! We will be back...

Given the amusing name, I didn't have any high expectations when I first tried this place. My partner had suggested this and heard it was good, so why not?

The clean interior of this place is unassuming, so I was not prepared for the chicken tenders to knock my socks off. Their tenders are so darn juicy (I saw the owner respond to another reviewer about brining for 24 hours). I never knew it was possible to make them that juicy—could probably drip after a good squeeze—so they've created a fan out of me. I can never tolerate dry chicken tenders from now on.

The people who work here are super nice too! They bring your food to your table, which is appreciated. My partner is a picky eater (hates anything that has mayonnaise, for example) and they were accommodating and not rude when they had forgotten to take the sauce off his burger one time and he asked to have it remade. He does likes spicy stuff so they gave him some of their dry spice seasoning on the side. The milkshakes are pretty standard—made from Tillamook ice cream, so they're a nice accompaniment to the food. I haven't tried their onion rings yet, which I saw good reviews about! Will need to try those next time.

Apparently the tip is shared amongst the staff and not just towards the owner like some places do, so that's nice! I'm glad to know about this place and support them now as I consider this spot one of my favorites now. Good service,...
