I don't know how long Sarah's has been here? I should know, I can't imagine how many times I've passed this place. Now it is practically a hole in the wall. Not very big at all, which is fine, there food is what we're here for. While I was under the impression that Sarah's had amazing coffee, it is not what they are known for. They offer just regular, decaf and iced as far as coffee goes. Now Sarah's is just breakfast and lunch. I was there late morning so was torn on what to eat. I decided on the sandwich named after the place, The Sarah. If you're looking at the menu they seem a little traditional in their breakfast options and some more modern healthy fixings. I was excited to see how they did things! So upon arrival of my sandwich I could barely wait, almost forgetting to snap a few pix. So in the first bite the bread had a really great crunch, there avocado was perfect egg was nice. The garlic spinach didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The spinach was excellent, bit I just didn't taste the garlic. Could just have been me, I like a lot of garlic. Almost can't put to much...! While this was my first time here, but i'm sure I'll be back. There are more things on the menu I'd like to try. Prices aren't bad at all and they try to be as paperless as they can. Don't let my rating dissuade in considering this place. I would definitely get this sandwich again, even if I never try anything else. I may just ask for...
Read moreWe’ve never dined here before so we called ahead first to find out if they were open second to see if they offer dine in. They were open and they do offer dine as well as take out orders. We went to the wrong set of doors. But we managed to realize the doors were further down. Btw it’s side street parking. The snow makes it impossible for a passenger to get out of the vehicle I suggest you pull up let your passengers out then park. When we walked in we were seated pretty quickly. They took our order. Our food didn’t take long to arrive. They offer gluten free toast. Which was a pleasant surprise. We ordered there pepper soup. Was amazing!!! Wish it was a bigger bowl. The banana pancakes were really good, big portions. There breakfast sandwich was also really good, big portions as well. There scramble hash was really darn good. I asked for a side of avocado and she was able to add that to my order with no issues. I’m not a coffee drinker but the party I was with liked there coffee and didn’t make any complaints. We were enjoying ourselves then a large loud group was seated near by us. There goes our nice quite breakfast. Sucks when you are having a nice time and a bunch of loud mouths sit near you. Besides that the food was amazing. Would we come back.. yes!! Btw when paying you have to go to the front counter they don’t handle credit cards/cash or do anything of that nature...
Read moreI wanted to love this place with all the great reviews, but unfortunately did not have a good experience. On a Saturday morning, I ordered the BLT Benedict. The menu stated “sautéed greens” but I got raw spring green-type lettuce. I love lettuces, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. The poached eggs had a lot of runny, uncooked egg whites. The Hollandaise sauce was split and didn’t taste flavorful. But the most surprising thing served was the home fries. They were like dark russet potato chips, not cuts of toasty, tender potatoes. Have you tried eating potato chips with a fork? 😆 I gently mentioned it to a server and a kind-faced gentleman soon arrived with a new serving of home fries for me. There were several bites there with actual potato inside, rather than the hollow chips I started with. But even the new batch was more on the oily potato chip side of the spectrum. Something to know if you are a home fries fan. I’m a busy mom to five amazing children and get little time for a meal alone. This was my special time to myself and I’d...
