I've been getting my slice's at the local pizza shop on Woodstock for a few years now, but wanted something different today. I searched my area for pizza but nothing caught my eye in the area. Thank the pizza God's I zoomed in with my map on division St.
As soon as I saw the pictures I KNEW where I was going for lunch today, this small pizza shop called Scottie's.
When I walked in the music playing in the shop was excellent 👍. I knew I made the right choice.
The smell almost drove me crazy! I wanted to make love to that full pie behind the counter.
Very nice lady took my order, got two slices as you see in my picture, and holy moly some of the best pizza I've in my life. The sauce was soooo good perfect 👍. The cheese OMG loved it. The pepperoni was a home run. BUT the best part the very best part of my pizza was the crust. I have never had crust that good, it was done just how I like it a bit dark on the bottom, with the perfect crunch too it, it was like the lady taking my order could READ MY MIND 😬😬😬, it was done just how I like it, no take that back, I never knew crust could be done like that.
Together the cheese, sauce, toppings, and the crust from pizza heaven made this slice.....
The BEST PIZZA SLICE IN TOWN😍😍😍
I can't wait tell next paycheck, I'm getting the full pie!!!!!
Thanks Scotty 😊. You now have a...

First they put out a good slice of pie and honestly I'm kinda surprised at how fresh and consistent the slices turn out vs places with much more turnover and traffic like Sizzle Pie which always seems to serve me slices with dried cheese that looks like it's sat too long in the warmer. The sauce has a good tanginess to it and I like how generous they are with the sauce. It definitely stands out in every bite even with a traditional crust. It's kinda cool how they have a soda fountain with some obscure drinks and 3 taps with Jones Soda!
I'm not sure how they do it, but it's already and incredible value compared to some of the more popular local places in town like Sizzle Pie, Hot Lips, and Schmizza, but they are able to pay all their employees $15 an hour. With the cost of rent in a trendy neighborhood like Division...I'm not sure how they are able to pull this off, but I have to say I'm proud to be a costumer here.
While wood fired neopolitan style pizzas are all the rage in Portland...Scottie's serves just traditional style pizza without the pretentiousness that you get from everywhere else. As far as by the slice pizza in Portland goes...this is my favorite...

This is a good neighborhood pizza place to go to off of SE Division Avenue. It's not too big so it can get a bit loud to have a conversation, and there isn't many places to sit.
Pizza by the slices here are good sizes. We went with Centuno Formaggio slices since that's all that was available, which is basically what we came for. It was tasty. The pizza crust was stuffed with Mozzarella which made the slice even better. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
There's good beers by the can to go with the pizza selection. There aren't too many good choices if you happen to be a vegetarian.
Being the last day for Pizza Week for Scottie's Pizza Parlor, the staff weren't very attentive, but they seem to do their best and provided as fast as service possible given the nature of the day.
Like I always say, if you're in the area, try the place once, and decide for yourself. I believe I will be coming back to try some of the other options if I am in the...
