I'm continually impressed by the low-key deliciousness available here. The Back Shore is my favorite and offers ham, blue cheese, spinach, and grapes (pictured). Most sandwiches have a similar vibe. Perfect mix of savory and sweet. Local beers on tap, hot/cold sandwich options and soup. 3 veg options available. Usually not crowded. Once I biked here in the pouring rain and they offered me towels from the kitchen. I recommend it highly!

The food is absolutely amazing. Always fresh and high quality ingredients paired together in unique and thoughtful creations ☺️ The grateful ched is my all time favorite but everything I've tried is delicious. The owner and all the workers are super great people too!

Decent sandwiches, hot and cold. The people are super friendly. It didn't blow my mind, but I liked the food well enough. Note that it's just a take out place - no room to eat it. Great logo and shirts!

Heading to The Local Press in Portland is like finding a hidden gem that brightens your day. The staff at this cozy eatery are not just friendly; they make you feel like family, welcoming each patron with open arms and genuine smiles. It’s this warmth, combined with their culinary prowess, that sets The Local Press apart.

Now, let’s talk about the sandwiches – they’re simply sublime. A standout is the Orchard Turkey Sandwich. This masterpiece is more than just a sandwich; it’s a culinary experience that transports you to a place of pure delight. The turkey is tender and flavorful, nestled between slices of fresh, artisan bread, with a harmony of ingredients that melt in your mouth. The flavors are balanced so beautifully, it’s like a taste of heaven. Each bite is a reminder of the care and passion that goes into their food.

If it were up to me, I’d make The Local Press a daily ritual. There’s something about this place that goes beyond the food. It’s the atmosphere, the people, and the joy of discovering a meal that leaves you longing for more. For anyone in Portland looking for a sandwich that’s crafted with love and ingredients that speak of quality, make your way to The Local Press. It’s an experience you’ll cherish, one delicious...

The Local Press is an AWESOME place to eat and enjoy good company. My boyfriend and I were new to the neighborhood and a friend suggested this sandwich shop to us. We went in not knowing what to expect, and almost instantly, we fell in love. The food is incredible, and the staff is awesome. One of the bartenders, Dean, gave us excellent service, was extremely attentive to our needs and kept us wanting more (Local Press). My boyfriend and I frequent this establishment because of its close proximity to our apartment as well as the friendly and inviting faces we walk into each time. We were also introduced to two people who make sandwiches on the take out side, I believe their names are Dan and Chris. Each of them was very outgoing, respectful, and eager to serve us as well as chat with us while we dined at the take out section of the Local Press. If I were able to give a 20/20 I would do that instead. Cannot wait for my...

Stellar sandwich shop in Portland. They use quality ingredients and have a wide variety of 'wiches to satisfy everyone. The grilled paninis are the highlight, offering a crunch and cheesy melt that is delightful.

Even more spectacular than the food is the customer service: the owner Chad is often behind the making sandwiches and he is the friendliest shop owner I've met: always smiling and ready to chat.

They have recently expanded to have more space for dining in, which is a welcome addition as the shop proper is quite cozy. Only trouble with the shop is the very limited parking available; best to plan on a little walk to get here if...
