If you’re in Portland and haven’t hit up The One Chinese BBQ on SE 82nd, you’re seriously missing out. I stopped in and ordered skewers, fried rice, and the enoki beef, and every single bite was chef’s kiss!
The skewers were grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned with just the right amount of spice. You know that smoky char that makes your mouth water? Yeah, they nailed it.
The fried rice was next-level comfort food: perfectly cooked grains, not greasy, packed with flavor, and loaded with just the right mix of ingredients. It’s the kind of fried rice you keep eating even when you’re “full.”
But the real star for me? The enoki beef. WOW. Tender slices of beef wrapped around delicate enoki mushrooms, grilled and seasoned to perfection. The savory, umami-packed flavor with that subtle crunch of the mushrooms was an experience all on its own.
The vibe is casual, the portions are generous, and the service is quick. Bonus points: prices are totally reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Pro tip: Go hungry because you’re going to want to try everything on the menu!

Read moreFood is alright, very expensive for what it is so it’ll rack up. Service is terrible and the server had a terrible attitude, super rude and blamed her mistake on us. My friend ordered chicken screwer and literally pointed to the photo, but she inputted in chicken skin. When we spoke to her about it, she started blaming him and had a nasty attitude. Did not want to tip at all because of this service, we were all friendly but she decided to act like this. Had an auto gratuity of 20% on table of 6 or more, did not inform us of it beforehand (it is on the menu but they should verbally let us know beforehand, I’m a server) and just shoved the device into our face and wanted more tip. One of the other server forgot our friend’s order as well because she forgot to ring it on.

Read moreSo, I ordered delivery and have never eaten here before, but I live nearby and always wondered about the food. Well let me say, you are missing out on one of the best tasting restaurants in Portland. I ordered the chow mein which was very different from usual chow mein in a very very good way! The noodles were ramen like and the flavors were crazy good. I also loved the beef skewers and had a grape slushie that was amazing! I want to now, go order one of everything on their menu for my next meal. Eat here. Go. I rarely review restaurants but I had to jump online and glow about such a great tasting meal that stood...
