Stop what you're doing and go here immediately! This place is 5 stars all around. We've been on the search for the best Korean Fried Chicken and we are from Washington state and I had heard about this place so we just knew we had to try. This place does not disappoint at all.
Firstly, the service is incredible. They're absolutely the friendliest people and they really make you feel like you're supporting a good local business. The guy was so kind to us and kept checking on us to make sure we liked it etc. Also, we lost our keys and had come back looking for them and he even took the time to help find them himself. He even offered to call if they did turn up, I mean, truly impeccable customer service.
Okay, now the reason you're all here. The food. INCREDIBLE! The sauces have so much flavor and the chicken itself was fantastic. The boneless wings were great. He said that they were a mixture of thigh and breast, ( personally I don't like thigh meat) and was pleasantly surprised to see that 90% of it was breast milk. And ohhhhh man, that crunch, that flavor. Incredible. The bone in wings were fantastic too, we tried two different flavors and they were amazing. My mother in law loved the tenders too with the dipping sauce. Fries were good too!
They have a small table nearby with some water to help yourself, napkins, forks and chopsticks. They had a few small tables inside and some picnic tables outside. We had no problem finding parking or a table.
Hands down best Korean Fried Chicken!!! Better than BB.Q Chicken for sure!
Wish we lived here so we could get it more often, but we will definitely be back when we...
Read moreWe tried a potato K-corn dog, friends, 3 types of bone-in wings, and 1 type of boneless wings. I wish I could do more than 3 stars, I really do. The food was really good, but neither award-winning nor entirely available. There are three K-dog coatings on the menu, and they were out of two; the “classic” American cornbread and also the bacon coating. And they were out of tapioca for their boba tea. This is basic, sorry, 0/3. Wait time reached 35 minutes on a “slow” (staff’s words, not mine) Thursday night; even the boba tea was 20+ minutes. Last points: the chicken for the boneless chicken seems to be chicken thigh (I didn’t ask, but I expected breast) and finally: both the bone-in and boneless options tripled in size due to the fry; the meat and sauce/rub got lost. I’m glad I experienced it, but I look forward to trying others.
Update, based on owners response: • We arrived at 6:15pm; closing time is 8:00pm, per google maps. That's more than double your "40 minutes before closing", so that's simply inaccurate. • Okay, so it's boneless chicken, I made an assumption there. • When I said "types" of wings, I was referring to the sauce options, obviously. • I meant the "Regular" coating. • Again, your staff said it was a slow evening, I simply repeated it here. For accuracy, I was told "about 20" minutes which I did acknowledge, it took closer to 30. As we were leaving, the customers in line were being told 35 minutes. • I typo'd "fries" as "friends" in the original review, but have left...
Read moreOne of the worst Korean fried chicken, and fried chicken in general, I’ve ever had in my life. Extremely dry, tough to chew, flavorless, and barely coated in sauce. It feels like minimum effort was put into making this taste acceptable. I’d be less upset if it was priced as more of a budget option. Manager was dismissive when I called back to talk about quality. I’m not being dramatic when I say when the chicken got to room temperature, it was so soggy it was basically inedible. Steer clear.
Edit: The store’s reply claims I mentioned only eating it an hour later, which is a blatant lie. I live in Arbor Lodge so it took me less than 10 mins to get home, and I didn’t even say anything about when I had my dinner. It was flavorless and soggy even when it was still hot and fresh. The picture I uploaded only shows about half of the chicken because I put what my partner and I were going to eat on separate plates, of which I only had 2-3 pieces. I’m not trying to be a diva, the chicken was inedible so I threw it out. The tots were fine I guess.
Also, when I called in, I first asked if there was anything that can be provided as a replacement before asking about the possibility of a refund. I even said I understood that a refund was not possible and wished them a good evening before they slammed the phone on me. The defensiveness shows. I hope, for the sake of your future customers, you can focus on improving your recipes because the food you’re serving now gives me second-hand...
