Yesterday at about 6:39 PM I pulled into the drive-through at KFC on Airline Boulevard in Portsmouth, Virginia. I have not been to this KFC Since the pandemic. The upper right quadrant of the Drive-through menu was broken and located behind the lower right quadrant of the menu. As a result, I couldnât read what yesterdayâs specials were. I asked the cashier on the intercom what yesterdays specials were and someone in the background yelled out to tell me to read the menu board. I attempted to Explain that the menu board is not visible and it is broken. Only then did the cashier tell me what the specials were as I continued on with my order, the person in the background is still upset that the cashier is telling me whatâs on the menu even though I explained that beer menu was broken. I asked to speak to the manager while still at the intercom and I was Verbally dismissed by being told that if my order is complete, then pull around to the window. When I arrived at the window, I asked for the manager again and the cashier ignored me. I plead to see the manager because I wanted to park and speak with them in person. The cashier told me that the lobby is always closed and asked me if I needed anything else being even more dismissive. First and foremost, the young lady in the backgroundwas very loud and obnoxious, unprofessional, and Rude. Her attitude was extremely unbecoming a good representation of customer service. No one should be working in an atmosphere such as this with an attitude like that. That person had no customer service etiquette whatsoever. I hope that KFC corporate ensures that people with attitudes such as this, never have the opportunity to work for their company. As a customer, I should be able to walk in and see what type of environment my food is being cooked in, and I should never have to worry about being mistreated for not being able to read a menu thatâs not visible for customers to see. Iâm An educated, retired veteran with a masters degree, of course I can read. Lol! As we say in the military, this was completely UNSAT! Finally, this restaurant is still operating on pandemic status and the original recipe seems not to be available whenever my husband and sons have ordered in the past year....
Read moreSent in an order on the website, website stated it was ready. Website states: go inside and pick up at quick pickup shelf, if lobby is closed, go through drive through.
Lobby was closed and followed protocol of going n through drive through. Asked about online order to person working drive through, stated they would come and give me my order. No ETA, no indication that the order had anything additional to wait on. Waiting 5 minutes, I go through the drive through once more asking about the status of my order, teller cops an attitude with me stating âI told you Iâll bring it out to you, however your order isnât ready yet, we need 10 more minutes.â I asked then why the website said it was ready immediately, stated âI donât control the website, but unless you give me 2:30 minutes for the rest of your chicken thatâs in the frier, I canât give you your complete order.â
Went to say âThanks for clarifyingâ but he just cut me off and proceeded to turn off their intercom at the drive through.
At this point I just decided to not really care anymore as I got two different times as to what my actual wait time was. The inconsistency of what was actually going on and the tone and delivery was sub-par to say the least.
Same guy came out to my car to give me their meal, with an annoyed demeanor, and then proceeded to jump into their friends white Honda accord to I guess hang out for a second.
Gave me 7 out of 8 pieces of my chicken order as well, but I was just over it at that point and didnât want to deal anymore and get back to my family.
Professionalism just...
Read moreIt's really sad that I live about four minutes away from this location, and I, after January 4, 2015, refuse to go back. Although they are under new management from my last horrible experience there where they were so slow, my food was cold before I left the restaurant, someone cannot properly forecast product. I have NEVER been able to purchase a chicken potpie from this location...they are ALWAYS out...every time I go for one, and those times are random. What's the problem?
First of all, I am handicapped, so when I pulled up and was instructed to "please come inside" because the drive-thru register was not working, I felt a little ruffled and uneasy. Then, to limp inside and they not have what I was already inconvenienced for...? I'm done! Another sad thing is, I'm about to give up on KFC because the store I ended up going to didn't give me everything that came with the deal. I didn't get my cookies, but I'll fill that out under their location.
I hope, for the future of the company, that you all get it together. This...
