I honestly don’t understand this place. The food is SO expensive ($1.75 to add shredded lettuce to a burrito… yikes!), but the quality of the food is honestly mediocre at best. I will only go to this place when all other Mexican restaurants in the area are closed. The security guards outside of the restaurant are quite unsettling, too. I get that the restaurant is also a bar of some sort, but it’s the only bar downtown (besides Chicho’s directly across the street) that has to have security guards posted up outside of it which feels pretty uncomfortable when you’re just going there to order a burrito. The place is also unbearably loud at night, and wait times are pretty bad too. I had to wait 30 minutes for just a smoothie one night. It seems to me that the owner of the place is more interested in appealing to bar goers than running a restaurant, which is confusing since the place is obviously branded as a restaurant. You wouldn’t even know that the place is a nightclub/lounge without going inside the place, and even then, it’s not obvious until you see people headed to the back of the restaurant behind the kitchen. It’s beyond me how they fit anything back there that’d be large enough to resemble anything close to a club. The owner also just kind of hovers around everyone all night and doesn’t bother to interact with literally anyone, never smiles/welcomes anyone, and always has sunglasses on at night inside of his dark restaurant… which gives off a really weird vibe. It’s just a...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible. Nobody greeted us when we walked in even though there's 2 people standing at the register. One of them then shouts passed us to another girl to come take our order but then decides to just do it herself. $11 for a chimichanga, btw it's1.50 for sour cream and 1.75 for guac ( no one mentions an upcharge). They have beer on the menu, so I ask for 2 beers, girl says we don't have any. Ok... Then she tells us she can get us beer after someone else whispers something to her. Mad awkward. She then walks back and forth from the restaurant saying what beers they don't have. Total comes out to $37.00. They say it's cuz of tax. We wait for the food for about 10-15 mins and when we get it it's disgusting. It tasted like the grease was old, it was very bland, no seasoning, and the "guacamole" had a huge piece of un-mashed avocado in it. The Pico is really just diced tomato's with one leaf of cilantro, No lemon, No lime. I took one bite and decided to ask for my money back to which they vehemently argued with me until I left out of frustration. You're disrespecting yourself if you eat here. Taco Bell is more flavorful. I wish zero stars was...
Read moreOrdered with my family, 4 total including myself with me. We got 1 reg and 3 large burritos. One large burrito was not much bigger than the regular, and the 2 others were huge compared to the regular. Added guac to the regular and there was barely any on it. Each meal came with a side of fries and a drink. Drink cups, styrofoam while dining in, were 80% ice, even after getting a refill there was still 60% ice. The fries came in a small metal basket resembling a deep fryer basket. Only condiment available for fries was ketchup, and for burritos was a house sauce. The plate the fries and burrito came on was barely big enough to hold them both. Overall the food was decent, not good, but better than OK. The price for the quality of the food was not there. I have ate authentic burritos, in California for less that came with more. Also, chips and salsa were not complimentary and were an appetizer on the menu. Overall paying $80+ for 4 people in a dimly lit room for lunch including soda and burritos was a little ludacris. I will not be returning as it was a meh overall experience but...
