On June 15 I was visiting VA to see family and friends. While with my children, I attempted to treat them some McDonald’s. I ordered through the McDonald’s app. After I retrieved our order then continued to our destination, which was no more than 7 minutes away. I sat down with my children and began handing out orders. Taste tested the fries for poison , which I always do with my kids food 😄, noticing the fries were luke warm at best. Not a big deal I attributed to the car ride. I had ordered nuggets for the kids and requested sauce. There was no sauce in any of the bags. Strike two. Strike 3 was when I realized the things i paid EXTRA for were missing. I try to not complain, but when I do make a purchase, I do expect to get what I paid for at a decent quality. Then go to the app and leave a compliant. The next day the store manager Emily responded and I honestly was impressed and will sing her praises in communicating with me and handling my concerns professionally. I requested a refund which she assured me I would get. Another reason I’m leaving this review is what I endured while attempting to receive my refund. The first time I attempted I waited at least 15 minutes at the register. No one ever came to the counter. No one even attempted to acknowledge me or anyone else standing. They would just throw orders in the counter yell out numbers and run back to the back. They did seem to be a bit busy but Like I said earlier I was visiting and refused to spend too much time on waiting, when I could be spending time with family. I leave and come back on June 20th around 3 pm, hoping it would not be as busy. A young lady came to the counter and I explained I was there for a refund then tells me Emily wasn’t there. I asked to speak to the manager and she goes to retrieve the one on duty. When the manager on duty does come to the front she yells out, “WHO WANTS A REFUND!?” I respond and she comes over. From her body language and tone she already seemed to have an attitude. I explain to her the situation. I know longer had the paper receipt but I did take a picture which I told her I could show her. She didn’t care to see. She seemed not believe me then I suggested she could call Emily and she responds saying while turning her back to me and walking away, “ I don’t need you to tell me to do that.” She comes back with the store phone and calls Emily. She gets off the phone after a minute or two and refunds me my money. Her attitude alone from the beginning had frustrated me. Why work in a job the calls for customer service skills if you know you don’t enjoy dealing with others ? While she was up at register another young male worker came up front and began complaining to the manager and using vulgar language. Which I did not appreciate. While my experience with Emily was pleasant my experience with the workers in that store was not. If anything she was the only positive I have to say about that store.

the owner fails to realize what he is doing by keeping these lights on. his staff and neighbors are both customers, employees, and competitors, sometimes at the same time. after 40 years and with headlights and google innovation and common sense by itself, everyone knows when they are there and when they are gone. why can't they turn off their lights, save a fortune on powerfully, give me $30,000. for saving them power cost, write it off on their taxes as a business charity. because I'm going to lose my job some time, portsmouth is a mix and match of business and residential mixing. this McDonald's does this to my living room. I'm so broke I took a couch off the dumpster to be my bed. why can't they turn off their lights. they are pointless are hurt the entire block. everyone knows when your gone, everyone knows when your open. car headlights are enough now days. this picture is your McDonald's from my chair at home. look! it's like living next to a giant pulsar star.

Went to store this morning They got my order wrong what’s new! Secondly you make a mistake and you rectify it by making it right that would make customers have an amazing experience! Then you don’t shut the window on someone’s face JT if that’s even your name! They need an inspection anyways because the nuggets I received from here the other day had been sitting for a while cold, hard, stale. With all these bad reviews I’m not surprised fool me once shame on you fool me twice can’t put the blame on you last time I spend my money at a McDonalds! Stay away from this location don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Went to store this morning They got my order wrong what’s new! When telling JT if I can just pay for it since they missed it in the drive through he said no go back around then closed the window on me. Why would I have to go back around. Place is trash! I see this happens to a lot of people based on their reviews. Ordered a big online order and went to pick it up last night. A lady took my receipt at the drive thru window so they could bag the items. Everything was in one bag and filled to the top with the fries on top, so I didn’t think to check the bag for all my items. They missed 2 Big Macs and didn’t notice until I got home. When back to the drive thru and they asked me to pull forward. Went I got to the window they wanted to see my receipt, and told them a white lady took my receipt. Then proceeded to act stupid like no one ever took the receipt and looked at me like I’m stupid or lying about 2 Big Macs missing. Asked me where the food was and I told them it’s at home and my kids are eating, why would I lie and come back here for 2 Big Macs while the rest of my order sitting at home getting cold. After arguing with the worker at the drive thru they acted like they couldn’t do anything for me since they don’t see the proof with the rest of the order. So I told the worker “so basically since you guys messed up I just lost out on my order and wasted money?”. AVOID this place, workers can’t even get the items right and give their customers the...

I go to McDonald's a lot, just not this location. I visited this location on Tuesday. April 9,2024. I waited 15 minutes as the staff did everything but acknowledged my presence. I took a picture of customer service contract information that was on the wall, thinking it would get their attention to no avail. I spoke out and expressed that I had been waiting for 15 minutes without acknowledgment and inquired it anyone was going to assist me. None of the staff wore name tags, so I wasn't able to get a name. However, a young lady said I' ll be with you in a minute. It was still a few minutes before she came to assist me. During this time, people were waiting to pick up delivery orders and other customers who wanted to place orders. There was a lady behind me who wanted to get her drink refilled. Twice staff walked from behind the counter. She asked one of the young men if she could get a refill, and he said,"I don't do that." There was another young man working who was losing his pants, which was very unprofessional. Finally, the young lady came to assist me. After taking my order, she asked If I wanted something for my wait and I said no. This was some of the worst service ever. Not to mention that the food...
