Read moreI did it. I uncovered the secret ice cream lair of Mora Iced Creamery in Poulsbo, WA, and it’s nothing short of pure frozen mischief. Their flavors are like taste bud ninjas, sneaking up on you with flavor punches that’ll make your brain scream, ‘Plot twist!’ Nothing is too sweet. Nothing is too unsweet. Everything is perfect.
I got the hazelnut chocolate ice cream. It was called the Gianduja? I believe. And the Banana Split, which at times is a gamble, but no… not this time. It’s like they crushed real bananas, added caramel drizzle, and shaved chocolate, and said it’s sweet enough.
Chef’s kiss. PERFECTION.
The texture? It’s smoother than a buttered penguin sliding down a glacier, leaving a trail of ice cream joy in its wake. Each bite is a sweet conspiracy that’ll have you questioning why you ever settled for average desserts. Also to add: WHOLE CHUNKS OF HAZELNUT! It truly tasted like Ferraro Rocher Heaven.
But wait, there’s more! Mora doesn’t just serve ice cream; they serve up edible roller coasters of flavor. Their scoops are like adrenaline-fueled thrill rides, defying gravity and reaching towering heights of tastiness. You’ll be screaming, ‘Wheee!’ with every spoonful.
Life’s too short for boring desserts.
We ordered: Gianduja (hazelnut, chocolate) waffle cone, single scoop. And trust us… the single is enough but damn did it leave you wanting MORE! Banana Split (banana ice cream, swirled dolce de leche, and chocolate shavings) waffle cone.
Also, don’t just eat it standing there! Keep walking towards the water. Promise it makes it even...

There is only outdoor dining options as of now. Due to COVID-19, the interior seating has been restricted to keep their employees and other customers safe. Honestly, in my opinion, it is not a big deal since you and your date, family, or friends can walk less than half a block to sit at the Poulsbo waterfront where there are plenty of picnic areas and outdoor seating options.
Overall, this place is a must if you are in or around the downtown...
