This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. After a long day exploring Olympic National Park, my friends and I drove nearly 35 miles to this place because it was the closest Indian restaurant we could find. Online, it clearly says they are open until 10 PM. We arrived at 9:05 PM, only to be told that after 9 they don’t allow dine-in, only takeout. This information is not mentioned anywhere online. When we questioned it, the staff’s response was shocking — “I didn’t ask you to come here, go find another restaurant.” At that hour, in the middle of nowhere, we had no other choice. To make matters worse, we were made to wait 40 minutes for our takeout order, and in the end, we had to sit in our car and eat dinner like that after driving all the way there. The treatment was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. If a restaurant says it’s open until 10 PM, it should honor that for dine-in customers, or at the very least be honest and respectful. Instead, our night was ruined.

Who would’ve thought an Indian restaurant would pop up in a place like Poulsbo? To my surprise, it turned out to be a hidden gem! I ordered takeout, so my review is solely based on the flavors. Malai Kofta – Hands down, the best Malai Kofta I’ve had in the U.S.! Packed with flavor and paired beautifully with garlic naan. Every bite was delightful and my mouth waters thinking about it again! Vegetable Saag – The OG saag made with mustard leaves—rich, hearty, and cooked to perfection. Truly soul-satisfying! Garlic Naan – Not your typical naan! It’s thicker, packed with flavor, and cooked just right. You can even choose between crispy or soft. Crispy one won my vote. To my surprise, they threw in extra naan with my order, bless them! This place is pocket-friendly and hits all the right spots for Indian food cravings. A must-try if you're in town! P.S. Excuse my pics. Looks like taken in the middle of a camping trip! 😊

We were a group of 9 on a Friday night who almost walked in and they were very accommodating (I just made a quick call 10 minutes before reaching) . It smells delicious the moment you walk in. For appetizers, pakodas were very good. Aloo tiki was ok- lacked something. The keema samosa had a very dry filling though. Their dal makhani was really good (with that quintessential smoky flavor). Kadhai chicken was pretty good too. Chana masala and biryani were ok. The breads were decent (aloo paratha was great for kids; naans were soft too). It was odd that our server had no idea if they had any cocktails despite the fact that we could see a full bar. After asking multiple times, finally a different server (maybe the bar tender) came to help us. Drinks were good after that. Even their non alcoholic lemonade was very nice with that special ginger taste. All in all, a good place to try if you're in the area.

This place lives up to all the hype for sure! We were near Poulsbo and craving Indian food. Yelp directed us here, based on the good reviews we were up to try a new place. When we pulled into the parking lot, I have to admit, I was a bit worried. It's a bit sketchy on the outside, and it sits next to two different kinds of Mexican food places. The place is very nice on the inside and we were seated right away by the hostess/waitress. I got the impression that the two people working the front of house, taking orders, seating people and bringing out food were also the owners. They were a very polite and friendly couple.

This is easily the best Indian food I've had at a restaurant. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and my lady ordered the chicken masala. I have never had lamb that I enjoyed, other than in gyro sandwiches, but I thought I'd give it a try. This lamb was amazing. It had no gamy flavor, it wasn't dry or chewy. It was moist and delicious. The chicken masala was also amazing. We tried two different types of naan bread, one was garlic, and the other was cheese. Their naan bread is very interesting and a bit different, but really really good if you don't mind or prefer doughy naan bread. They have such a large variety of naan breads, it takes up a whole page on the menu and we look forward to trying each and every one of them in the future.

You can order the entrees with your own preferred spice level from a 1 to 5 which is nice as well. I ordered a 5 for my vindaloo. I remember joking that I've gone and ordered the spiciest dish in Indian cuisine at the highest spice level offered by the restaurant. The rest was a blur. They don't mess around with their spices. I love my food spicy and they brought it with this vindaloo. The rice that comes with the entrees is also quite good. We also had the fried onion fritters, the name escapes me, but they were good too. It came with two different sauces, one very sweet and the other very hot and tart.

This establishment does a great job to NOT be like all of the other Indian places I've been to, which to me, is a good thing. This is not your typical bar first, then cheap buffet, then expensive dinner type Indian place you find everywhere. The prices here are very fair and not like most places that gouge you for small portions when you order a la carte instead of from a buffet. You're meant to order lots, and share with each other here. This all combines to make it feel much more intimate and it translates to the food where you can taste the love in every bite. Even when those bites are 5 of 5 hot and steam is coming out of your ears. We'll be back, and I will be trying other dishes that look...

I want to start out by saying that the food here is delicious. The resturant offers nice music, nice selection of Indian Beers, and delicious dishes. That is the reason for the three stars. Fair is fair, the food is good.

However, I'm only giving 3 stars because of the terrible customer service! If it wasnt for the food, I would give this resturant negative stars.

When we sit down at a restaurant, we are going for both the food and ambiance. Otherwise, we can just stay at home and cook a meal ourselves.

We ate as this establishment last Saturday. We enjoyed our food so much, that we decided to come back again and eat on Sunday. We travel for work and were in town for business. We noticed the hours on Google said they close at 9pm.

Well when we arrived at 8:05 pm, our server from the night before, greeted us with Sports fan gear attire; like he was going to a game or worked at a sports bar.

He had on a blue ball cap, blue Jersey, Jean's and blue sneakers. He acted like he didn't know us from last night and said; "Are you here for a pick up order" No acknowledgement ..like hello, or oh you are back again? nothing.

Well we said we are here for dine in. He was like dine in closed at 8pm. We only offer to-go orders after 8pm..

First off, your hours don't specify that on the website.

Secondly, it was 20:05, pst (5 minutes after the time).

Thirdly, how does that make any sense?? You are a small cafe type resturant.. What is the difference, if people eat in or call in the food?? You are still cooking the food until 9pm!! And we arrived 55 minutes before they closed.

I guess he would rather wear his team's Jersey colors, then actually wear restaurant attire and serve people?!

On Saturday when we first ate, we were a party of 2 and spent over $92.00 plus tip.

Well unfortunately, your food might good but we will never ever return because of the poor customer service we received. Worked out anyway, we ended up finding another fantastic restaurant down the street, which we will go again when we are back in town...

We have been to the Punjab Indian Cuisine restaurant before and it was very good . We returned with several of our friends in a party of ten , NO MORE !!! When we were there for Mother's Day and my husbands Birthday the service was not only lacking and we had to wave someone down for water . There were only two people serving the tables . My husband ordered Curry Chicken and it was spice less and the sauce was not suitable . The Saag I ordered had a sweet taste and no spices at all . The Butter Chicken our son ordered tasted, and I kid you not , just like they had taken a can of Campbells tomato soup , thickened it and poured it over the chicken . It was horrible !! The other person ordered the Saag and as I explained again it was terrible . My husband also ordered the chicken soup which before was very good . This time it was not worth eating and was thrown out . We have eaten in at least 30 different India restaurants in the U.S and other countries and know what excellent India food should taste like . THIS WAS NOT IT AT THE PUNJAB INDIAN CUISINE !! This food was NOT INDIA CUISINE !!! Our experience there was horrible and the food completely unacceptable !! When we brought this to our servers attention and asked if they had a new Chef he said no . We explained our experience and in the past was very good but not this time and food lacked spices and ingred. of India food. He told us it is the same recipe as before . Let me assure you people it WAS NOT ! Please don't waste your time or money on this Place . My son paid for the food and we should have sent it back and walked out . Needless to say we will NEVER RETURN TO THAT ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN !!! Bill...
