Went for the first time last night with 2 friends. We sat on the patio which is a great environment (the interior was an ice box. So cold!). Everything on the menu looked wonderful and sounded delicious. I ordered the “Fast Cow.” I didn’t find it super flavorful despite the description. It was on an English muffin (not toasted. Didn’t love that dry textures). It came with “coffee encrusted blue cheese.” I definitely didn’t taste coffee and even found the blue cheese to be quite mild. Lastly a rosemary aioli which sounds divine! I got a hint of Rosemary on the last bite, but again, I was hunting for it. I will say the burger was cooked correctly and as I requested. 👏🏻 I also ordered sweet potato fries and truffle fries to share. We accidentally received regular fries, but both arrived not fresh despite coming later than our burgers. It was obvious they had sat for a while. I encouraged my friends to say something, but they’re to nice. Haha Personally, when it comes to restaurants, I like to get what I pay for. Halfway through our meal, our waiter finally came to check on us and I requested truffle fries as originally requested. They arrived super fresh, hot, & delicious. Now why couldn’t that have happened in the first place?
I think I would give this restaurant another shot, but for the price of an upscale burger place, I expected more. First impression left something to be desired, but I get it, some nights you’re just off. I may give it another...

Besides barbeque, lately I’ve been in search of a good hamburger. Today I tried BRGR Kitchen & Bar. Upon entering, you’ll find a casual, utilitarian design with high top, long and regular tables. Dining in the late afternoon provided low traffic and the ability to enjoy my meal without feeling rushed. When I stated to my waitress, Alyssa, that this was a first-time visit, she immediately made me feel welcome as she explained the menu, and her top picks. I decided on the Steakhouse Burger and since the menu is ala carte, I had to order fries separately. A side note; they make their own ketchup and mustard. When my food arrived, this is what was presented, Hatfield signature beef special blend, roasted mushrooms, onion straws, Wisconsin white cheddar, watercress and steak sauce on a brioche bun. The burger? Insane! Cooked medium well as requested, the meat was tender with an unusual, flavorful taste. The fries are presented in a tin measuring cup, giving way to a whimsical, chat piece. For those looking for something different, chicken, fish, vegetarian options are available. Looking for something gluten-free? They can handle that also. Even the restroom area is cool as the frosted doors alternate, male, female on one side of the room and a common wash station welcomes one and all. Overall: BRGR is worth a return visit. Maybe I’ll try the Number 3, medium well, tater tots… sorry, that’ll be...
Read moreExtremely bad experience tonight. Have eaten at,BRGR several times before at 2 different locations. Waitress was quite the officious bossy little thing. We sat down at 6:25 and waited 10 mins for a waitress. We inquired about the happy hour drink special but were told it ended 30 seconds ago. She literally ran by our table quite regularly without checking on us - despite our best efforts to flag her down - apparently too important to actually wait on us. She seemed to spend an enormous amount of time "in the back". After numerous attempts to flag her down, we managed to place an order. The food took forever - we could see it sitting waiting to be delivered - and when it came it was cold. And my dinner partner's food was the wrong order. We sent the cold food back but the wrong order was just left on the table. Then the waitress came by to see how great everything was and was told it was not great. She stated everything was out of her control and asked repeatedly if we wanted to speak to a manager. She immediately went "to the back" again and apparently started bawling. Whereupon a twerp 'manager' with ponytail and earrings storrmed our table and told us he could not have his wait staff crying because of us. We arrived at 6:30, left at 7:30 after 2 bites of one hamburger. Won't be going back. Welcome to the world of being waited upon by self-important little snowflakes. New...
