We ate here on a Thursday night. I read the other reviews first but we wanted to give it a try since we had a gift card. It didn't seem too busy as there were many open tables, several of which needed to be cleaned. The employees were all working at capacity and trying their best, but you could tell they were clearly short-staffed. We weren't in a hurry so we were trying to be patient with the service. While we were waiting for our food, I noticed a few other groups of people who came in and waited awhile to be sat because the staff just couldn't get to them. The (bus boy?) brought us chips right away, which was nice. It took maybe 10 minutes to get drinks. We ordered queso, which came out lukewarm. It tasted okay but the consistency was weird since it was mostly cooled off. I ordered the S&P Chicken Tacos and the Shrimp Tacos, which both tasted pretty awful. The chicken tasted watery and the shrimp tasted like it had been microwaved, so I didn't eat them. My partner had the steak tacos and the meat had a strange seasoning. The booths and light fixtures were cute for the ambiance, but the whole place smelled like cleaning products and a deep-fryer, the kind of smell you leave with on your clothes. The staff was friendly so we didn't fault them with the negative experience but we wouldn't go back.
*Reply to the business response I did not ask for a different meal. The wait staff was busy and I was ready to leave. I also didn't feel like trying anything else on the menu after not liking 3/3 of the tacos...
Read moreCorinth location is still working out a lot bugs a week after opening. We went for happy hour, told our waitress we wanted the happy hour margaritas and the two happy hour appetizers which are guac and queso. The service was super slow only part of our water's got refilled. She seemed confused by one of our beer requests. I think using our youth is great but they need to be properly trained. Had to ask for napkins three times. Had a hard time getting refill on the chips with two appetizers and salsa and four people two baskets of chips to start would have made more sense. When the bill came we were charged full price for the appetizers and drinks. Went up to the hostess station and found out they don't have happy hour set up in the computer though our waitress never mentioned it when we kept asking for the happy hour drinks and appetizers. Then their gift card system was down so one of our party could not use that. Love Taco Republic but they clearly have a lot of bugs...
Read moreOur party was the only people at Taco Republic tonight—the next wave of people came about an hour after us. Even with it just being our party our server was not attentive, did not bring waters for all, we had to ask many times for basic things. For example, refills on water, chips etc. Our server did not continue to check on us. When we finally ordered 2 of the 3 orders came out. My order never came. While hanging out & snacking on chips several other people came & left due to no one coming to check in with them, get waters etc.. Near the end of our dinner we asked for ice, water & more chips/salsa from the bar as our server was nowhere to be found when the salsa came out we found a hair in one—so we were done at that point. Lastly, when paying for our bills at the end the server mixed up the cards & bills. Thankfully I paid cash but was a bit of a mess. Needless to say, I won’t be going back . Was honestly the worst service I’ve ever had at a...
