3.75 stars. I walked in here about 10am for lunch. Because I was the only diner here the staff were very attentive and accommodating. They immediately brought out chips and salsa and my drink. The salsa they brought out was not too my liking. It tasted like it was mass produced and from a jar. Nothing wrong with that but I like fresh salsa. I asked if they had another salsa and they did. She warned me it was hot, which I love hot salsa so good for me. This one actually did taste fresh and it was hotter but the flavor still wasn't the best salsa I've ever had. And after about 6 chips the "heat" finally hit me. It wasn't extreme but to most it is hot. I ended up mixing the 2 salsas together to get a blend that I liked best. I wasn't aware this was a "sit down" kind of restaurant before I came in. Meaning sit first and a waitress/waiter will take your order so I knew it was gonna cost me a little more than I wanted to spend with the tip. So I ordered probably the cheapest combo they had which was just an enchilada with rice and beans. Plus I wasn't sure if I could quite eat more than that yet since it was my first meal of the day. I got the shredded beef enchilada. It was really good and tasted like every other enchilada ever. Which is both good but boring. Nothing stood out about any of the food but I left completely satisfied. It's better that, than to say the food has no taste or tastes bad. This is standard fare Mexican food. I ended up paying $17.99 and I left a cash tip. This would have been $9.99 2 years ago but we all know how prices have changed. I will say that there is another Mexican food place literally across the road that I prefer because the food was slightly better and cheaper, mainly because it's not as nice and no tip needed. You order and sit at that place, which...
Read moreI really like the experience. it was very busy at 2pm on a Sunday so if you're here on the weekend I would plan accordingly.
The huge number of choices on the menu with a number of things that you don't normally see at Mexican food restaurants in Arizona. I try to find authentic Mexican food places as I grew up in a Hispanic family even though I'm a white girl. 😜
Staff was on point 💯
I wish the beans had more flavor they looked amazing and very promising but they needed salt or seasoning... something they weren't bad so much , they just looked like my grandma's beans but without that good flavor.
They spread across the plate like they should. Unlike some Mexican restaurants where the beans come out in a mound ( too dry) and you know they're not correct because real Mexican beans lay flat and don't mound up when made correctly.
Ordered the Steak Tampiquena , grilled asada steak served with a chicken enchilada. They accommodated me having to change the enchilada from mole sauce to green sauce because I have a irritant with nuts and mole is made with nuts. The steak was juicy and very tasty. I would order again.
My lunch guest had the Pollo Culichi and I was able to tast test that and it was delicious. It's unique and flavorful without being spicy and the portion was huge. It's also a very rich dish that might be hard to finish therefore, it would probably be a good platter to split and maybe get an appetizer or soup to start.
I'll give them 4.2 Stars. As I said I was disappointed with the beans even though they tasted fine but that was my personal expectation skewing my rating . My guest said the rice was just okay so thus the rating.
I will be in the area working for the next 6 months so I will consider upgrading my rating after I've had a few visits but we will...
Read moreThe food at Lindo Mexico is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. And right now their open for pick-up orders. Which is nice. I believe they offer delivery through GrubHub as well.
But anyway, the food oh my gosh! My husband and I moved up here to Prescott, three years ago. We moved from Phoenix. And of course in the Valley, there’s many Mexican food restaurants to choose from. We had our couple of favs that we ate at often. But when we moved up here and learned from others that there really just isn’t many choices for Mexican food up here... we were devastated. We LOVE Mexican food. We found Lindo Mexico on Yelp and figured we’d give it a try. And wow, I was so shocked! The food is drool worthy! I had no idea this restaurant existed. But I saw all the good ratings and comments on Yelp & on Google, and just had to see for myself! First of all, the plates of food are HUGE. I have never eaten at a single Mexican food restaurant that had such huge amounts of food. It is well worth every penny spent. The average price for dinner is approx. $13 at the most, which really isn’t bad for the amount and quality of the food you get. My dinner was only $10.75 I believe, because I just got a cheese enchilada with rice. But a very large enchilada and more rice than I could eat lol! But now I have lunch for tomorrow! We got an appetizer, dinners for myself, husband, and our son, as well as dessert (we decided to go all out). And our total was still under/right around $50.
Hopefully you try it out and hopefully your experience was as good as ours was! We finally found a good Mexican food restaurant in Prescott. So happy!...
