So i do hope this helps the restaraunt grow and become very succesfull so this is my honest review.
The wait staff were very attentative so much so they added an extra star to the rating just by themselves ... I want to say our server was Chelsea but i cant quite remember so you guys have an amazing wait staff. Take this with a tiny grain of salt though because it was very empty when we got there around 3pm and filled up quite a bit as we left as the dinner crowd rolled in so it may be different when it is packed.
The food: please hang it out to dry from the grease or if the grease is the thing maybe have an air fry option or a low grease option for patrons to pick.
The garlic noodles smelled amazing really rich garlic smell but they tasted like i was chewing on raw dough with a similar flavor to celulous packing peanuts (yes you can eat those versions but i wouldnt recommend it) they mostly just tasted like drinking some plane cooking oil not the flavored stuff and not good olive oil just something super plain.
the deviled egg salad was ok it was similar to the safeway or walmart or smart and final frys branded stuff you can get in a tub at the store and it was middle of the road compared to some of those pretty uninspiring needs more flavor maybe more mustard or maybe some horseradish sauce or capers or just something to give it a bit of help
the cajun fries were nice and a little crunchy which i like however i couldnt tell there was any cajun seasoning on it they mostly tasted like mildly crunchy plain frys but they are good fries.
their sweet potato fries are bog standard sweet potato fries far from bad but not amazing
their fried pickle chips were really good! they were supposed to have the same cajun spice as the fries but didnt taste that at all just like the cajun fries
their calamari was a bit fishy (i am extremely sensitive to fishy taste so unless things are very fresh it will taste fishy to me)
the fried chicken sandwich i had was not very spicey but was nice and crunchy its about as spicy as the mcdonalds version. it was dripping grease which wasnt great and in reality i would have saved my money and had the mcdonalds version with some extra pickles ... theirs did have coleslaw in it but you couldnt taste much of it same with the pickles all the sandwich flavors blended together rather than having a distinct pop of pickle the spice of the breaded chicken and the cool crunch of coleslaw. again the spicey or cajun mcchicken mighe be better bang for the buck
my suggestion is cheange up the spicyness of the chicken and make the slaw stand out maybe more slaw? and more pickles? but getting rid of the extra grease from the sandwich will help the other flavors as well
remove all the oil from the garlic noodles they certainly dont bemefit from the oil it makes them very bland
check the calamari dates before accepting them off the truck and make sure they were packed and frozen very shortly after they died to prevent fishy flavor
more seasoning the seasoning doesnt have much kick so you need more of it as long as it isnt full of salt that is as that would possibly make the food too salty
add more mustard and possibly some chopped pickle to the egg salad to give it a better flavor or capers work too
get an air fryer to get rid of all the excess grease on all the food oil is great in small quantities and only if its good oil else it saps flavors and makes things bland.

Read moreWe went late on a Tuesday evening, so we were the only people in the place. The servers were friendly and attentive as well as knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered the charred oysters for a starter at $16 for a half dozen ($32 for a full dozen), and they were really, really tasty. It was not overcooked but juicy and flavorful. We will definitely get these again. They were great. I got a bowl of their New England Clam Chowder, ($6) which was served with a little loaf of "sloppin' bread." Both were really good and fit the expection of clam chowder and dipping bread. My husband ordered the garlic noodle bowl ($12, I think) with grilled chicken and the lemon pepper sauce on the side. The meal had nice fresh veggies sautéed with the noodles and sauce, and the chicken was not overcooked or dry, which often happens with chicken breast. It had nice but underwhelming flavor, which may have been intentional. With the lemon pepper sauce added, it was delicious. They gave us a ton of this sauce, too, so now we have a tub of lemony pepper butter for later.
I ordered the Jambalaya, ($16) which was really tasty. It was authentic tasting; Cajun and smoky with a teeny bit of spice and full of flavor. The smoked sausage had a really nice flavor, and the shrimp were cooked just right, without a hint of chewiness. For dessert, our server sold us on the fried cornbread sundae. It tasted like a warm cake style donut chunks topped with whipped cream and placed upon a generous amount of vanilla ice cream and dusted with a fine layer of cinnamon. It is a dessert that is unique and simple simultaneously. It was the most interesting thing on the dessert menu, which, compared to the rest of the menu, is kind of basic. Speaking of the menu, it is expansive with a heavy Cajun influence, but has some entrees that aren't classic Cajun, but more a fusion of some type. There were several dishes I wanted to try or that sounded tasty, so we'll definitely be coming back. As far as the atmosphere, that's the biggest issue I could see.... not really the janky-ish decor that's common in these crab shack style restaurants, but the set up that allows a bazillion tables to fit in that size of space. I cannot imagine how loud that place would be if it were half packed, let alone fully packed.
Prices aren't more expensive than any other seafood place. Prices are comparable to Red Lobster.
We will try this restaurant again! We enjoyed...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to edit my previous review. Last trip was great. (See below) so great, in fact, that we brought family back tonight. What a stark difference this was. The wings that were so delicious last time, lacked flavor. They were awful. The shrimp bowl that was wife got last time was incredible.. this time.. pretty awful. The sauce was the same as she got last time, yet entirely different. It was very boring flavor and did not look or taste like it did less than a week ago. Three of our four meals at the table were pretty much inedible. We never got one refill, even though we sat there for over 40 mins with empty cups. They told us the food would come out staggered m, and we understood. But, what we werenât expecting was for the first persons meal to come out at 5:40 and the fourth persons to come out at 6:20. A 40 minute spread is unacceptable. The waitress was very unapologetic and didnât care.
The atmosphere was severely strained due to loud music that continued to shut off and turn on over and over. The volume wasnât the issue, but when it shuts off then startles you by blasting back on 2 minutes later.. thatâs awful.
What a disappointment after having such a great time last time.
Earlier review: Itâs rare that you go to a brand new restaurant in this town and have a great experience, but that was the case. Great service by Jordin. Food was excellent. Everything was clean and organized. They really had their stuff together for...
