Mac's & Mama Mac's Deli-Cafe — Restaurant in Priest River

First time here and already impressed! Don't let the fact that it's in a gas station (Conoco) deter you, trust me. About half the store is seating so you can dine in or take out. They offer a variety such as pizza, burgers, burritos, soup and sandwiches, salads, typical coffee stand drinks, malts & shakes, and CASCADE GLACIER ice cream. If you haven't tried that ice cream, you have NO idea what you are missing. They make their own waffle cones too!

The employees were kind and seemed authentic when asking if we were satisfied with everything. True small town hospitality. They made me feel valued and comfortable. I had a buffalo cheeseburger and fries as did my bf but he also added a bowl of chili. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the burger before we demolished it, so good! The chili had a nice surprising spice (actual chili taste) and the fries and tots didn't taste like they were fried in old oil. Against my better judgement, I couldn't say no to the brownie sundae. Well worth a stop in itself. It was a homemade brownie warmed up, a large scoop of ice cream ( I chose pean praline but you can have any flavor), and topped with whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce, walnuts (chunks and halves not dust), and cherries on top! Needless to say, we can't wait for our next trip to try...

WORST BREAKFAST BURRITO WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! we go up to priest lake fishing almost every weekend in the summer, and we ALWAYS stop at mama macs to get breakfast burritos. This morning was our first time out fishing since last fall, and we couldn’t wait to stop at mama macs and get a burrito. However we were more than disappointed. It was the worst burrito we have ever had, we each took two bites and couldn’t stomach the rest. The eggs were burnt, the sausage was severely freezer burnt and the cheese wasn’t melted. My husband actually had to pull over and throw up. I don’t know what has changed in the last few months, but I would NEVER recommend getting anything from the deli, and we will NEVER be going back. I love the store. No matter what I'm looking for I'm always pleased to find it here. And the atmosphere is fun! The burgers are amazing as well as other food but I do recommend a good juicy burger. They have things you're going to need for the lake like sunglasses sunscreen cold drinks and snacks. You can't go wrong with this stop and not to mention that service with a smile every time I go in and I love that. Nobody wants grumpy bumpy behind the counter! Make it your go to place too!
