There aren't many restaurants that I would give a 5 star rating, but Amazing Thai is definitely one of them. As someone from a California with family roots in Laos, I am no stranger to good Thai food. Despite the slightly high prices, and the aim of elevating Thai food, Amazing Thai definitely maintains its roots in authentic Thai flavor. For the remained of my time as a student in the area, I look forwarding to continue dining here. My usual is Pad See Ew, or Black Noodles as they call it, and of the 3 Thai restaurants in Princeton Amazing Thai makes it the best. When eating Pad See Ew, I am looking for 2 main things: the taste of the wok-cooked flat noodles in dark, charred soy sauce and good texture on the Chinese broccoli. Both were excellent. There was also a good portion of chicken and it wasn't dry at all. One slight thing was that some of the flat noodles were in a clump and not fully separated, but that's nothing unusual. Honestly, I don't pay much attention to service if the food is good, but at a slightly upscale restaurant like this I suppose it's something to consider. The service was great and the food was prepared quickly. I don't place much attention on atmosphere, but Amazing Thai definitely meets expectations. The outside eating area is clean, well-lit, and decorated. The inside has a modern aesthetic that elevates the space. Overall, my experience at Amazing Thai has been great thus far. My food experience in NJ has been a little lackluster compared to home, but this restaurant has always been a safe bet. If I were to recommend a Thai restaurant to a friend, it would be Amazing Thai.

Big disappointment. I don't normally write reviews but the quality of the food was such a joke that I couldn't help it. It took them 5 minutes for them to seat me and another 15 to take my order, despite the fact that they didn't seem too busy as there were only two other tables with customers. I ordered the hawaiian ginger & pineapple per the server's recommendation. In contrary to the extremely slow service, the dish came out within 2 minutes of ordering. 2 minutes! Makes me if there were any real cooking involved with this dish... and voila! It tasted like a heated up tv dinner. The beef was like RUBBER, and the soggy vegetables had no texture with the strange ginger(I normally like ginger / other herbs) scent making my stomach rather uncomfortable. And that rice was so dry which is unacceptable, especially for an asian restaurant. First time in my life that I chose not to eat what I ordered. I paid and left, and went for a second dinner down the street at one of the other restaurants. I love thai food but this was no bueno

EDIT: The Owner saying that I’m an intruder yet I went inside to purchase food. They denied me and was being racist. I was going to spend my money instead I was discriminated against. I will be reporting your business for being racist. PLEASE DONT SHOP HERE!! EDIT #2- We was not "politely" asked to move. Your employees were RUDE. NOW The business is saying I "trespass" yet I went into their store to buy and support and they refused me service. I will be reporting your business to princeton township! Racism is unacceptable in 2023!!!! Employees are extremely rude. I was with my wife and new born baby and they disrespected us. They do not treat people of color with respect! Do not support this business. Read other comments, this place is filled with rude individuals. Highly Unprofessional!

Disappointing Experience at Amazing Thai

Rating: ⭐

I recently visited Amazing Thai, and I must say that my experience fell far short of expectations. The name itself promises something exceptional, but unfortunately, the reality did not match up. It was NOT AMAZING at all.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by rude and inattentive employees. Their lack of enthusiasm and indifference towards customers was evident from the start. It was disheartening to be treated with such disregard, especially as a paying guest.

Moving on to the service, it was painfully slow and inefficient. The waitstaff seemed uninterested in ensuring a pleasant dining experience. My requests for recommendations or clarifications about the menu were met with impatience and minimal effort. It felt as though they were simply going through the motions rather than genuinely caring about customer satisfaction.

The food itself was average at best. The flavors lacked the depth and authenticity that I had come to expect from Thai cuisine. The portions were meager compared to the price, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and underwhelmed. Additionally, the presentation was lackluster, further dampening the overall dining experience.

Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The ambiance was dull, with minimal effort put into creating a welcoming environment. The decor felt outdated and uninspired, failing to transport guests to the vibrant and lively atmosphere that Thai culture is known for.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend Amazing Thai based on my visit. The combination of rude employees, lackluster service, mediocre food, and uninspiring ambiance left me with a negative impression. I hope the management takes these critiques constructively and makes necessary improvements to create a more enjoyable dining experience for...

I had high hopes for this Amazing Thai restaurant in Princeton NJ, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The bill came to over $200 for a party of four, with only a few items ordered. The service was lackluster, with our server disappearing after taking our order and leaving us feeling rushed.

The food was a major letdown. The tom yum soup was overly salty, lukewarm, and lacked authenticity. The wings were cold, excessively salty, and simply bad. My entree was a disappointment as well, with the chicken tasting rubbery and the dish overall being too spicy and overly salty, as if it had been reheated in a microwave.

My wife's request to substitute pork belly for chicken was initially met with confusion, but it seemed like it could be accommodated. However, at the end of the meal, when my wife inquired about the price, she was given an unreasonable response - no adjustment was made despite the lower-priced protein swap. The server's explanation that the dish was prepared in a special sauce and thus could not be changed felt dismissive and unsatisfactory. Adding to the disappointment, the substituted dish turned out to be excessively spicy.

To add insult to injury, our entrees arrived before we had finished our appetizers, and the bill was unceremoniously placed on our table before we had even completed our meal. Dessert was not offered or presented, and to top it off, a tip was added to our bill without our consent along with a 3% card fee.

Overall, the quality of the food and service at Amazing Thai was severely lacking, leading to a disappointing and frustrating experience for myself and my family. I regret to say that we will not be returning, and I urge caution to anyone considering dining at this establishment. They certainly won't be receiving any recommendations from me - a big fat F- is the only grade...

Extremely disappointed by the experience, I came in with a party of 7 for my birthday dinner with a reservation that was made 2 weeks in advance and received subpar treatment by the hosts from start to finish. Upon arrival, our party was seated outside in the complete back corner of the space far from public street view and was given little to no introduction or clarity from our waiter. There were only a few other parties seated at the time, though none as large as ours, that were having their orders taken and served before our table was even given water to drink. Our table waiting 30 minutes for our waiter to even come by our table only to inform us that there was a $2 “cake fee” for each person at the table if we decided to eat the leftover birthday cake we had with us at the table which in no ways felt like a legitimate policy. We requested that water be given to us and our order be taken but the waiter disappeared and served the parties seated after us, we were left 2 hours without ANY water to drink OR our orders being taken. Our party was understanding though we had people that had drive 2+ hours to get there and truly should not have been, but when we asked for the manager, we were told the manager was not in that day only to be met with a woman that claimed to be the manager 5 minutes later. We were then informed that the restaurant was understaffed, which of course is understandable however there was zero communication of the fact from the restaurants end especially to a party that had been confirmed for weeks now. Despite all of the ill treatment, there was little to no forgiveness from the bill even with our food finally being served 10 minutes before restaurant closing. A definite disservice, never...
