Thank God For the 3 F’s in life: long-standing friendships, family, and Food! We won, today, in life, at each aspect of this, and the credit goes to my homegirl and Dabs Country Cookin! Dabs Cookin, I hope you are blessed beyond measure, as you blessed US! Let me tell you what! For those that don’t know about Dabs country cookin in Princeton. You need to take a drive to 301 Mercer Street! She really outdid herself, and was willing to go the extra mile to take impeccable care of us, during this difficult time/saddening season of losing a beloved loved one. But that food gave everyone something to smile about. Family catching up and bonding over food…breaking bread with old friends!! And NANA, my homegirl from Welch hill, and her staff, made this possible!! Man, they drove to Charlotte, just to have the photo ready in time for the Repast…this was nothing that we requested. It was something that she did, out of the goodness of her heart!! She asked me For her favorite colors, so could decorate in blue and green, just to have that “extra special touch”. She wanted it to be special…she knew it was special…and it was special… She really did not disappoint! The chicken, the ham, the fish (not a piece left in the pan), the greens, potato salad, green beans…desserts, and yes, the LEMONADE, were HITS!! Everyone left with full bellies and happy hearts, and I’ll never forget what she has done for us!! A TRUE FRIEND WHO’s LIKE A SISTER!! Anytime I need a plate for an event, I’m calling Dabs!!! This restaurant serves food made with genuine love and care. As a chef myself, I can honestly say this place delivers on every level - and I wouldn’t mislead you about food quality.

The Food: Simply incredible. We ordered the mac and cheese, collard greens, 3-piece hot fresh wings, and hot water cornbread. Every single dish was mouth-watering and served piping hot. The flavors were authentic and perfectly executed.

The Service: Our server was amazing - attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. But what really set this place apart was when the owner personally came out to talk with us. That kind of personal touch is rare and shows the genuine care they have for their customers.

The Experience: Even if you’re just driving through the city, this place is an absolute must-stop. The food is so good, it’s worth making a special trip back just to eat here again.
