There is no madras or dosa here!!
I had high hopes for this place, especially as someone from South India, where dosa originated. Unfortunately, the experience was beyond disappointing.
We ordered paniyaram, idli with podi, masala fries, and papdi chaat. Chutney was cold, the sambar was watery and flavorless, and the paniyaram had uncooked batter. The papdi chaat’s potato masala was straight from the fridge. It chaat, why serve food that’s not even properly warmed?
Then came the dosas, and I honestly wish they hadn’t. The chicken dosa was a disaster, the minced meat tasted off, and the dosa itself was hard and dry. Uthappams and plain dosas were equally bad. Uthappams should be soft, full of pores, melt in the mouth, yet crispy ends because of roasting in ghee and butter. Nothing of that sort. It was clear that whoever is making these dosas has no idea how they should be. If you’re charging premium prices, at least ensure the food matches the cost.
It’s frustrating to see a place serve subpar South Indian food when people are willing to pay for authenticity and quality. If the team really cares about what they serve, I’d strongly recommend a trip to South India to learn how it’s done right. Until then, I can’t...

I tried the classic Masala Dosa and it was spot on. The potato filling was perfectly spiced, and the dosa itself was crisp without being greasy. The chutneys and sambar on the side were fresh and full of bold, traditional flavors—especially the coconut chutney, which was a standout!
The menu has a great variety of dosas and other South Indian favorites, including options for vegetarians and spice lovers alike. Everything tasted fresh and made with care.
The restaurant is clean and modern with a casual, welcoming vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the different dishes and making recommendations.

Read moreI drove all the way from New York to Princeton just to try this spot after seeing it go viral on Instagram. This spot is a must visit for so many reasons and I don’t even know where to start. When it comes to affordability, there are so few spots in Princeton, where you can get a warm, comforting, healthy, and filling meal for less than $14 and this spot does just that. I tried the gunpowder dosa for the first time and it was amazing. It was the perfect level of spiciness, and the dosa was perfectly crisp and soft. I followed the dosa up with their samosa chaat and it was incredibly amazing. Super flavorful, wonderfully spiced, and I can’t wait to visit again.
The masala chai was so flavorful and the perfect drink to keep me going through the day.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is so trendy and cute, and they have seating at the restaurant and if you want to eat outdoors, there is seating across the street.
In my opinion, this is...
