We recently dined at Taste of Mexico and tried the chicken fajitas. The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the rice and beans were a great addition to the overall meal. However, I found the portion of chicken to be small, which was a bit underwhelming. Additionally, the vegetables, which are meant to be a side, ended up taking over the plate. While the overall taste was good, a better balance between the chicken and vegetables would have made this a more enjoyable meal. In addition to the chicken fajitas, we ordered the carne enchiladas, which were served along a bed of rice, beans, and a simple green salad. The grilled pork in the enchiladas was marinated well and juicy. The carne complimented the sautéed tomatoes, onions, and jalepeños tenderly filled inside the enchiladas. The carne enchiladas was a well-sized dish and was quite delectable. Now onto the star of the meal... The Tres Leches Cake. The sponge-like cake, soaked in the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream, was a symphony of richness and delight to our taste buds. Despite the prevalence of milk, the dish never felt heavy and continued to be light and luscious till the very last bite.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered vegetable fajitas, and there were basically no veggies in my meal, just rice and beans. I mistook it for a side order when I first opened the box. To make matters worse, I'm allergic to broccoli, which constituted about 2/3 of the few vegetables in there. I would have listed my broccoli allergy when I ordered, but I have never in my life seen a fajita with broccoli in it (or spinach for that matter). The icing on the cake was that the order was delivered with beans spilled all over the bag. I don't usually write reviews, but this was such a colossal let down that I can't in good conscience let people get shafted the way I just was.

This is rated #2 after Tortuga’s, Princeton, you can do better! We ordered nachos but you'd never know based on what arrived at our table. This soppy mess had no flavor or texture and was topped with strips of wet lettuce and thin, bland chicken. There were no jalapeños or seasoning of any kind detectable. We needed a side of chips to eat the little bit we tried because the soft, wet ones under the goppy mess were unable to hold anything on them. So very disappointing, will not return.

Walked in to the restaurant around 6:30pm 7/4/2019... Was discriminated against by waitresses in restaurant. The white female waitress refused to serve me. I asked for my food to go. I tried to confront the other worker about what happened and she acted as if she has no idea what was going on, even began laughing after I told her what happened. An off-duty waitress began to curse me out in front of other customers as I was leaving. I suggest not giving this restaurant any business. I do not support racist or discriminatory institutions and you shouldn't either. And no, the food wasn't worth it for the amount of abuse I endured. Bland, water-downed Mexican food. Off the Border on Route 1 is more authentic than whatever is served here. I'm sure there are plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants in within the Princeton-Trenton area who know how to treat their customers right. Shame on management for not speaking up when their employees are...

  1. The salsa that comes with the free chips and salsa is 100% food service salsa, the kind any restaurant can buy gallons of from their provider or the grocery store.
  2. Apparently broccoli is served with all Mexican food now? Including fajitas and inside quesadillas??
  3. The unwelcome broccoli was clearly just frozen/bag steamed mushy watery soft broccoli
  4. The beef for beef fajitas was completely unseasoned, overcooked, and tasteless, as was everything else on the plate
  5. The meal was just very poor and had absolutely nothing quality about it. You can get better Mexican food from an American middle school cafeteria
  6. I asked the waitress to speak to the manager, and she said there was no manager...on Saturday night...at 7:00 pm?? That was pretty strange. 0/10, honestly would have enjoyed a microwave quesadilla or burrito from the...
