Gustavo's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Prospect

I never write reviews but tonight I just had to!! Tonight I came in with my 12 yr old son and right before his food came out, his teeth started getting sore from having his braces adjusted earlier. Another server noticed my sons discomfort and grabbed our server and they both came over to check on him. I explained it was his teeth and that we forgot to bring the ibuprofen with us. So our server Offered us some and brought my son some. He then came back and asked my son if he wanted to trade his meal for something softer, he offered him a cold slushy to help as well. Another server came and offered him a spice that helps numb and get rid of pain and brought him some to chew on. 5 different employees came to check on him while there tonight! And at one point had all 5 at our booth! :) Our server realized my son barely ate because of his sore teeth so he brought him a soft cold desert! I am a regular here and they have an amazing staff and obviously delicious food, but tonight they were above and beyond for my son and I thank them so much for that!!!! Update comment: This restaurant earned an "A" sanitation rating with a score of 100% on it's most recent inspection in November, 2017. Some comments on social media incorrectly reported otherwise. It also earned an "A" rating, with a score of 97% on the prior inspection. (Posted February 1, 2018)

Available seating includes the bar, tables, booths and an adjoining dining room with flexible table arrangements that can accommodate large groups. Nice outdoor patio seating available in season. The patio is located on the West side of the building, can be quite warm on a summer afternoon.

I ordered #11 combo taco enchilada burritos. I could not have got a more boring meal. The meat in all 3 was the same ground beef with no seasoning at all. The taco had a very nice cheese on it but that was it cheese meat and a little lettuce. It was ok but not great. The burrito was a corn shell filled with ground beef still no seasoning and nothing else. No beans no rice nothing else just meat and a salsa drizzles on top. Boring and tasteless. The enchilada was ground beef wrapped in a corn shell. Again no seasoning and nothing else with it beyond a brown sauce drizzles over top. If you want Mexican food give this place a skip. I looked at the reviews and they shock me I can only think they ordered something better than I did.
