The Heart of Prosser — The Golden Horse is a Must!
There are great restaurants and then there’s The Golden Horse. This family-owned gem in the heart of Prosser is hands down the best food and service you’ll find anywhere in town.
From the moment you walk in, Jessie greets you like you’re part of the family. Her warmth, hospitality, and genuine love for what she does set the tone for the entire experience. She doesn’t just serve food, she creates connection, comfort, and community. You feel like you’ve come home.
And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is made with care, full of bold, satisfying flavor, and always cooked to perfection. Whether you're a regular or it's your first visit, you'll get the same high standard every single time. The menu has something for everyone, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully chosen. Portions are hearty, and everything comes out hot and delicious.

Read moreI rarely do comments. I don't like messing with peoples business. You know I rather not go back. I am a truck driver. I like trying new places. I like Chinese food. I wish I had better things to say about golden horse. The service wasn't the best. I got sat down and left alone for the most part. No check ins what so ever. I waited an hour before I got my food. I waited 40+ minutes before I was brought an egg soup. I ordered. entrée - steamed veggies, meal sweet and sour shrimp. On the side pork fried rice. The veggies were covered in blobs of concentrated sauce. Heavily jellied. I did not take that to go. The sweet and sour shrimp was heavily battered hardly any shrimp. The again heavily jellied spread on top. No actual mix coated all around. The flavor was subpar. I mostly won't be back in this town. If I am. I rather go to MCDs across the street or try something within the walking distance. Maybe WA is so far up in the map Flavor doesn't...
Read morePeople were nice enough but the food was horrible and overpriced. The quantity of food would have been perfect for the price if it wasn't so bad. The general tso's chicken had way to much breading and tasted like you were eating fried...something. It wasn't chicken with it being that stringy. My friend got the special of the day which was sweet and sour chicken and the two meats were like night and day. The sweet and sour chicken had less breading on it than the general tso's. The meat on the s&s was obviously chicken compared to whatever the gen. Tso's was. I originally ordered iced tea, but could taste the horrific tap water through the tea. Then I got a Sprite instead and you could literally taste the fact that their fountain taps had not been properly cleaned in a while. Over all, not worth the walk from the loves truck stop, nor the money they charged. $10 per plate plus drinks. Wont be...
