I recently stopped by a Subway for a quick bite expecting a fast, affordable meal. What I got instead was a $60 receipt for three regular sandwiches. No double meat, no extras, — just the basics. which is absolutely wild for what you get.
The sandwiches themselves? Just okay. Nothing memorable. Honestly, Subway’s food is mid at best — bland bread, average ingredients, and zero wow factor. For the price, you’d expect something substantial or at least satisfying. But it felt more like a ripoff than a meal.
Here’s the kicker: I could’ve gone to Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mike’s twice for the same price as one trip to Subway. And both of those places serve way better sandwiches — fresher, tastier, and more worth the money. At this point, I genuinely don’t understand how Subway is still operating with pricing like this and such mediocre quality.
Fast food should be affordable and decent. Subway is neither. Unless they seriously step up their game or fix their prices, I can’t imagine...
Read moreNow I know why I stopped going to Subway. The food tastes fine, but it’s just too expensive. I paid $14 for a skimpy sandwich, small drink and a small bag of a chips. It’s particularly galling to pay $10.19 for “a foot long” sandwich and the cheese is actually only two small pieces cut in half and turned sideways to stretch lengthwise across the bread. C’mon! For this price, certainly they can afford to put a fair portion of cheese on the sandwich! The “sandwich artist” was nice enough, but really didn’t know (or care) how to actually make the sandwich. Of the items I told him I did want, he barely sprinkled enough on to even count as an ingredient. He also didn’t ask if I wanted any sauce, salt & pepper or oil? This is the same sandwich I have ordered many times and I know the routine. I know good help is hard to find and the new “minimum wage” laws aren’t helping, but it’s easy to see why Subways are closing everywhere. This place was utterly empty at lunch...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. This has to be hands-down the WORST subway I have ever been to. First, they don't take any coupons. Second, every time (5) I've ordered here (gave them several chances) my order has been wrong, every time. Today, for lunch ordered 3 subs for family, every sub was wrong, you spend over thirty dollars, get two, literally, two pieces of chicken, a sprinkle of lettuce, no sauce at all, no oil/vinegar, the wrong cheese, and maybe four sprigs of red onion, for example. There was nothing there to eat??? That's crazy, expensive and the service is not even at the minimum level. Not returning and will tell everyone I know to not go there. Disappointing, at best. Franchise owners, pay...
