This Asian Bakery & Fast Food is not in the most prestigious area but please let me reassure you it’s pretty safe as in most problematic area it’s constantly patrolled by Providence finest’s due to the amount of panhandlers and alcohol and drug overdoses at the corner. So, just mind your business and smile. There’s limited parking as there’s no parking lot but here’s a suggestion don’t park at Dunkin Donuts or the Dollar store parking lot which you will probably get towed quicker than u think but you can briefly park at Burger King parking lot as long as you park away and not blocking their business. That’s just a heads up. Okay, here’s the bakery review: personally to me this isn’t a bakery. You won’t find cupcake or pastry but they do make some really delicious authentic Vietnamese sandwiches. The food is also good depending on what you’re ordering. The people are really polite and professional, sometimes their English is limited so please be respectful, polite and patience. There are dine in seating but very limited as the restaurant is really small. Don’t expect a hostess or a server/waitress because it’s not that type of place. Just walk right to the register if there’s no line when you’re ready to order.
They make good papaya salad if you like papaya salad. Spicy noodles are Yums too but I tend to go here for the sandwich.
I hope that help make your visit...
Read moreWent here after work last week for the first time- at first glance I thought they were closed, I’m so glad I tried the door because they had the best Vietnamese food we have had in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts ever. As I sat there waiting for our food more and more people came in- the place was bumpin’ and sooooo worth the wait for my order. My husband is Vietnamese and we are on a constant search for authentic food that’s just like his mom makes it-this is the place. Hands. Down. I don’t think I will be able to eat anywhere else after eating here and my husband said he doesn’t want food from anywhere else again. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were amazing, the papaya salad, Pho Ga, Larb Gai- everything tasted so good. I brought the food home to my husband and kids and it was gone immediately. And, the prices aren’t bad at all. For everything I ordered, which was 4 Bahn Mi sandwiches and 7 different meals plus a Thai Tea it was UNDER $100. Anywhere else that would have been close to double. We have found our new spot, and I suggest you give it a try too if you’re in the area. It’s...
Read moreLynden Rook from Darke Complex here with another review, this time of Providence, RI's 'Asian Bakery and Fast Food'. The staff here was very kind and very quick to prepare my meal, and the cafe setting and beautiful decor was a pleasant setting to my delicious meal. I opted for the spring rolls and for a tofu banh mi, both of which felt very authentic and both of which were extremely delicious. The French bread was the perfect consistency, crunchy but not too crumbly on the outside and soft on the inside. The various veggies in the sandwich tasted fresh and well seasoned, and the tofu was lightly fried with a great texture. The sauce in the banh mi was very delicious compared to other banh mi's I've had. The spring rolls are extremely filled, the sauce was a fish sauce and the shrimp tasted very fresh, a combination that made me very full and left me feeling fresh and satisfied. Overall, the restaurant provides incredible fresh, authentic tasting food at a very reasonable price. Great place to stop by for...
