I got takeout from here it took half an hour and then when o got home there was Literally 8 tiny cubes of ham on the “ Hamlette “ the called it it should have been called the “Ham-Lesss” unbelievable and I live in North Providence, so I had to drive all the way back to get a sandwich and they only added on about 10 more cubes my western omelette, -sandwich was great but my daughters chocolate chip pancakes but I was charged chocolate chip for had no chocolate chips so I don’t know why they’re service has gone downhill it’s not even the service it’s the cooks to cook so they’re not paying attention and they’re not giving nice size portions at all. This place used to be five-star years ago in my eyes even the beginning of the summer I had amazing service in amazing take out food. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years now on Sundays at breakfastt I guess because there’s so many people there the cooks aren’t paying attention. The line was out the door. I got takeout and they still didn’t get my order right after waiting a half an hour and I paid for three strips of bacon $6.99. One of the strips was so over cooked. It was broken crispy hard and four pieces and the other one was so fatty. It wasn’t even cooked. I had to put it in the microwave, like if I was in the restaurant sitting down this would’ve went right back. and they forgot the hashbrowns and toast. I’m so aggravated. I paid all that money and stuff was missing and it wasn’t right and then you can’t even call them because they’re so busy they took the phone off the hook. Yes they did. she said they weren’t taken takeout orders. They had no time so they disconnected the phone that’s crazy so you can’t even call your order in a head of call to let them know you have something wrong None of it would’ve been acceptable at all and it sucks that this is the type of food that the iconic Classic Cafe is...

We did breakfast. Very good food. One thing I noticed was the toast was really toasty. I almost think they toasted it on the grill but it is not like Texas toast. I usually expect warm bread but this was toasted.

First pic is a veggie omelets or something like that (wife). The second is a breakfast burrito that my oldest son pretty much inhaled and wanted more tortillas. The third pic is my younger son's go-to, western breakfast sammich. That was pretty much inhaled as well.

The fourth pic is my eggs, corned beef hash and grits. Everything was cooked perfectly, even my eggs over medium. The corn beef hash had a seasoning in it I was not used to being in hash but it was good. And I'm no grits aficionado but they seemed really good. I got them with the cheese and bacon but think I would try with just the bacon or even plain next time since I feel the grits were good enough to stand on their own.

Coffee was good, I did not try the flavored coffee but wish I had. The food came quick and was delivered hot. Servers were busy but prompt and very friendly.

Given the covid times we are in I will comment on that. It seems to me that they may have but up wood barriers between the booths. They looked new or at least newly painted. Regardless of when they were installed the barriers allowed separation between the occupants of adjacent booths and probably eased the noise levels a bit. All people that were required to be wearing masks wore masks the entire time we were there.

Overall this was a nice place that had a pretty good variety of food on the menu and it would be worth going back for breakfast and lunch a few times to try different dishes. We went on a rainy Saturday and were able to be seated quickly but I'm betting on a nice day that would not be the case and on post-covid times you'd have a...

Came here in the morning with a friend to get breakfast. Menu looked good. As we walked in, we wanted to order for takeout and the lady that greeted us in the beginning told us that when we were ready we could step up to the register. We stepped up to the register and was told to wait multiple times meanwhile other people that came in before got their service. So that was a sign of just I guess bad customer service? Pricing was not too bad. Paid around $30 for a good amount of food. Then here comes the depressing part. Waited 20 mins for the food to be done and that’s fair. But as I dug into the food, there was no flavor in any of the foods we got. I got 2 scrambled eggs but it looks like 1 egg. Maybe the eggs were small? The sausage was very bland and the French toast was just ok. Would I come back again? Probably not. There’s definitely other diner’s/cafe’s around that offer better...
