I went to the McDonald’s today at about 7 o’clock at night. I tried to order online using the McDonald’s app. The McDonald’s app is not working so we just went in to place an order. I use the kiosk and confirmed I had received my my receipt at about 7 o’clock. I saw that the receipt had come out on the machines and at about 702. I waited until about 7:23 for my food. I didn’t order much all I ordered was a large snack wrap meal with a Dr Pepper a four piece chicken nugget happy meal and a large french fry with a six piece nugget on the side. About two other people came in after me are looking for pick up orders, etc. both of them were dark skinned individuals, and everybody who is on staff was also dark skinned mind you I am white. A tall black individual (I did not get any names. I do apologize) had come up. Ask the two people who came in after me if they were all set no one had asked me if I was all set or anything like that or what I was waiting for which they all saw that I was sitting there. They were just staring at me and glaring at me the whole time After a little bit, they ended up having the people after me leave. They only waited about three minutes or so.I tried to get somebody’s attention about 10 minutes after so at about 7:12 PM At this point more people had also come Come in after me and left before me same thing, staff talked to them they were all nice and friendly. None of them were white by the way I was still the only white individual in that store at this point I waited till about 7:20 PM before my mother had to come in with a crying toddler because of how long we had waited for food and after she had finally gotten a Hispanic ladies attention (like I said, I apologize I didn’t get any of the names) not only was this lady very disrespectful. She kept demanding to know what we were waiting on. I had tried to explain it for about 15 minutes at this point what we were waiting on, which was just the food and drinks that I had indicated above not only, did she grab the drink for the happy meal she fall on, slammed it onto the counter, making soda come out from the top of it not to the point where it spilled all over the counter, but just enough to make it an inconvenience to walk outside with it and have it spill all over you. She then proceeded to ask me what we were missing and I explained it to her. We were just missing a Dr Pepper and the happy meal at that point she proceeds to whip the bag around and look at it, as if I was lying to her at this point I’m not coming back to the branch Avenue location because of the fact that I got discriminated against and it took us about 20 minutes to get our food actually more than 20 minutes to get our food 23 to be exact. I don’t mind waiting for food or anything like that if it’s busy, but there was no one in there, and everybody who was in there after me left before me and got customer service like a normal individual. I did end up filing a complaint with the McDonald’s corporation because of this because I feel like staff should not be treating other customers differently because of the way that their skin is so to say I am never coming back. There is an...
Read moreI ordered my usual order, mocha frappe add oreos. Typically I'm charged between 25 and 50 cents additional. Tonight I ordered the same thing and ordered a mcflurry with both m&ms and oreos only to be told they can't make my frappe. When I asked why I was told "we aren't allowed." I asked if they could make my mcflurry and was told that wasn't an issue. When I asked to have them just put oreos on top and not in the blender they said no. How is adding oreos to my frappe any different than adding oreos to an m&m mcflurry, both require an additional charge. During the day they make them, at night they work by a different set of rules. I have been getting this same frappe made at this location since 2017 with no issues during the day, and occasional issues during the evening, but tonight was utterly rude and poor customer service. Not to mention I waited in line at the drive thru as the second car for 14 minutes before they took the order of the car in front of me. This is a normal thing, the night crew here will have you wait at the drive thru order speaker while you can hear them laughing and joking in the background for double digit minutes and sometime they will just not answer the speaker at all. As a college student studying until 1030/11pm is not abnormal, so to get a snack or a meal at that time in a very busy area during study times shouldn't be an issue, but there are times you will sit in the drive thru for 25 minutes with a line behind you and when you drive up you see all the employees having a blast at 1045pm. I believe their hours are until 1am during the week. So closing up shop really early in a high traffic college student area is not only inconvenient to the people who rely on them its costing McDonalds as a corporation money. This location has become terrible over the last 12 months and honestly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because you dont know if they will feel like making your food, opening the door, or answering the drive thru window when you need to place your order. Terrible staff, and management obviously isn't paying attention seeing as how we will sit outside the building in the drive thru line 5, 6, or 7 cars and even though they are supposed to be open, they are in their joking around and throwing things at each other with no cares in the world. I dont write bad reviews but I will make sure when I get exceptional service I tell google about it, but this place has taken such a dive I made an exception. This started before the Corona virus, so theres no using that...
Read moreI’m a bartender and usually get out of work late. I stop by here on my way home and just try to get through the drive through so I can grab a quick bite and go home to sleep. Well the last time through there was a car of about 5 kids in front of me in line. They stated at the speaker for what must have been 10 minutes having a casual conversation with the worker (they must have known each other). They finally pulled forward and I ordered quickly and did the same. Once at the window they kept getting different bags of food and passing their cellphones in and out of the window with the workers, just casually exchanging contact info and chatting while another car pulled up behind me. This car started to beep its horn rightfully so. At this point I’m now stuck between two cars, with no way out and the car in front is now passing a joint around with the McDonald’s employee through the window. The car in front starts yelling at me and the other driver so I unroll my window and say “I’m not the one who’s beeping but I’d like to leave this drive through. Could you please at least pull up so I can get out and go home?” They then began to threaten me physically. The McDonald’s worker himself begins to also yell back at me threatening me. I threatened to call the police to which the worker told the driver in front to “stay put and keep me blocked in. He’ll have me handled with.” At this point I felt threatened and explained to the police the situation as well as giving the license plate to the car in front. They still continued to block my path and not move, continuing to threaten me with bodily harm. Finally they drive away and I quickly exited the drive through as well obviously no longer interested in food. I will NEVER return and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else really. It’s not only in a bad area but the staff openly threatens guests with bodily harm and openly uses drugs while working. The day/afternoon staff is much better I will say. But after this last experience I just wanted to make people privy that going here anytime after 10 you may be putting your life in danger for a hamburger....
