I can't say that I've ever had a more terrible experience anywhere else in the world. When we arrived, the host looked us all up and down with out saying a word. I asked for a table and he replied with, "I am assessing." So I asked if there was a dress code that we were unaware of. He said no. So I asked what he was assessing and he didn't say anything. After being stared at by this man for several minutes he decided we could be seated.
Don't even get me started on the bartender. I'm not sure I actually have the words to describe the lack of effort and interest from this bartender. She dropped our drinks, dropped our food, made multiple rude remarks, and made it nearly impossible for us to get more drinks throughout the night. She had friends sitting at the bar, which is against all COVID-19 regulations, and she made sure we knew that her friends would get the better service.
When she dropped our check at the end of the night I looked over it to make sure it was all right and then I gave her my card. She then brought back a paid check that was much higher than the original check she had given me. I looked over the itemized receipt, and then looked at the drinks her friends were drinking, and realized that she had added her friends tab to mine and hoped I would not notice. I obviously noticed a $40 dollar increase in what my itemized tickets said vs. what I was charged. She made it difficult to refund me, and refused to give me a receipt confirming the cancelation of the first transaction.
They are the shadiest people I have ever been served by. I work in the industry as a bartender as well, and have for almost 15 years. I have never experienced this type of behavior ever. I don't expect an apology from the owners or managers. People who run businesses like this don't reach out and fix issues. I'm just making it known that their employees have some serious issues.
I still have no idea if I will receive my $400...
Read moreLast night 8/13 we came here as group of 5, made reservation to gather with friends and celebrate two of our bdays coming up. It took 1:20 minutes for our food to come in our table. We were super patient and understanding taking in consideration COVID strange times. When our food arrived we noticed they brought us all in boxes to go. We didn’t think much of it as we didn’t pay attention to surroundings as we were enjoying our time with our friends. Right after waitress comes with round of shots “on house” saying she was sorry! We assumed she was sorry because of food being late. We started to eat immediately as we were starving waiting for the food. When we wanted to eat we noticed no utensils, no napkins or anything so we just honestly assumed because of COVID and that’s why also our food was in boxes to go. Not even a two minutes Passed waitress brings the check and a big security guy comes saying “sorry guys you have to go, we need the table”!!! We were like food just literally came on our table. Manager comes and he tells us that he was the one who asked the staff to put our food in boxes to do (while everyone in the restaurant their food was served on plates) and told us that we reached 1:40 minutes and we should go. It was not our fault for food coming 1:20 in our table and their kitchen was supposedly backed up. The most disrespectful was the way he served our food and asked us to leave By being surrendered by 3 different security guards!!! I am white but I was there with the majority friends with color so I never felt so discriminated and disrespected paying costumer! If we were all white will we get same treatment being kicked, disrespectful, treated as lowest dirt people or criminals but actually we all were managers and we understand costumer service world!!! This was the worst service, food and treatment I ever experienced as...
Read moreneither a club or really hawt, the hot club is an institution. i can't remember when i first discovered this place but i have been there more times than i can recall. it's an old building tucked away at the head of the providence river right next to the hurricane barrier. since the new bridge has gone in over the river, nighttime views are even more stunning. this is THE place to go for after work drinks on the water. the crowd is a mix of well-dressed mid 50's professionals all the way to hipster doofs and everything in between. the people watching here is superb. you used to have to remember to bring cash because they didn't take cards and the atm machine was sometimes down. now however, the do take cards, even out at the bar on the deck which is a big plus. drinks are good and cheap and service is friendly, though you will definitely wait for bevs when it's busy. they like to understaff a bit for some reason. your best bet is to grab a drink at the back bar when you first enter (the least crowded) then make your way out to the end of the deck - all the way to the end. like another reviewer said, most noobs don't venture out that far so getting a table is easiest there. you might have a shot at seating on the tiny deck off the other end as well. the last time i was there, they started doing boat rides up the river for 10 bucks. i didn't go but my friend says it's an awesome ride. recently, they've upgraded their menu. before, it was saugys and popcorn or chicken on a stick (so good). now there are burgers, sausages and a few other things. definitely not a dinner place but a grilled sausage with some cold beers is a...
