Woke up in Providence and we'd had our fill of Man Vs Food and knew hot dogs were on the menu for the July 4th evening. Scrolling through Google, honey found a breakfast place for our 2 little monsters and ourselves. First, the streets are small here and parking is at a premium. This place is located in an area that can create parking issues for you. Use the sign to locate the establishment and walk to the back. It is a very small place and pending croud you might need to wait. The place is aesthetically pleasing with the art and the wait staff is very courteous. The order included big breakfast, burger, oatmeal and Brickway Special. The burger was awesome a bit over cooked yet good portion and good taste. The oatmeal was tasty yet a bit hard for one of my sons. The breakfast felt home cooked which was a plus. Finally, the buttermilk pancakes were sweet and another plus. Take your pick, it could be a chain or local owned both about same yet I little more plus for the local place. Cost $50 for 4 with waters and coffee Happy 4th of July! PS this city has a GREAT fireworks show and you need to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn...
Read moreDisappointing experience today.Rarely leave reviews.Food was good as expected, however, the manager was going to check us out, when waitress told him to step aside and that “she’s got this one.” We were bullied by waitress as to why we only left a $3 tip,and that also the last time we ate there we only left a $3 tip-bill was $33 each time. There were 2 of us for a quick breakfast each time.Ma’am, it’s because when you have 2 children in a very expensive school, you are on a limited budget, and it is a luxury to eat out! I tipped you $3 each time for you to perform your job, which was to bring us our food 5 feet from the kitchen-what extraordinary service did you provide except to shame us? You embarrassed us in front of the entire store, and stood there to watch me change the tip to $6. Don’t bully your customers you know nothing about, and good luck.with your threatening customer service. It’s not only about how quickly you serve your customers their orders,it’s how you make them feel so that they come back....
Read moreWent on a busy Saturday morning. Sat inside. It was so incredibly loud, we couldn't hear our waitress and she couldn't hear us. I had never been in a restaurant that loud. Not sure if it's the way the room is built, but at one point I seriously thought about leaving. Our waitress was just ok, she seemed aloof and appeared as she wasn't happy to be there. Ordered the English muffin with poached eggs, spinach and tomatoes. Also ordered the salmon omelette and a two plain pancakes. The food was a little slow to come out. My husband said the omelette was excellent. My dish was nothing special and almost looked like it was thrown together in a hurry. The cheese on it was a slice of American cheese split in half and dropped on top, not even melted, almost like an afterthought. The pancakes were bland a rubbery. I had been there a couple of times before and remembered the food being better. With the loudness, so-so waitress and just ok food, I have no incentive to go...
