Riverwalks seem to be all the rage in urban development in recent decades and I have walked along a lot of them and this one is among the better ones I have visited..it seems like it developed culturally over time rather than the brainchild of some urban development. Read moreThe PVD Riverwalk is on the Providence River and is 2.4-miles long; it's an out and back trail. It's connected to Waterplace Park and lined with a cobblestone walkway. The walk is lined with beautiful views of the city and restaurants. There are bridges throughout which crosses the river. There are usually gondolas riding by during the warmer months; feels like you're in Italy for a split second. It's well lit at night and a great spot to watch the Water Fire event.
