This park is located on the west side of the Providence River and opened on July 2023. The walkway is used for walking, jogging, and fishing; it even has a boat ramp. The views of the cityscape were lovely; Point Street Bridge, the Michael S. Van Leesten Bridge, downtown, the 3-iconic smoke stacks, and College Hill. We were exploring the area and it was very walkable and pedestrian friendly. The new steel and wood bridge connects it with the 195 District Park and the Providence Pedestrian Bridge aka Michael S. Read moreProvidence has done a good job cleaning up the riverfront over the last several years, and this remodeled park is the latest part of that effort. Now both sides of the river, from Memorial Park to Point St, have been developed into nice green space with plenty of benches, lookout points, and docks to launch out into the river. While this particular park doesn’t have any memorials or other highlight attractions (outside of a nice view of the hurricane barrier and the pedestrian bridge), and is too far downstream to see much of WaterFire, it’s still a nice place to enjoy...
