I bought an aftermarket battery for my 2011 Apple MacBook Pro. The 1st battery registered bad. I went to local Apple store and confirmed that my computer was fine, the battery bad, possibly because it was not an original Apple battery, which is no longer available for this older computer. After having that battery replaced by original owner Unsal and several months and only a handful of partial charges later, I go to start my computer up and battery appears DEAD and appears to NOT TAKE A CHARGE. I call the new owner, who bought the business about 6 months ago from previous owner Unsal, and explain the battery is Warranted for ONE Year according to Unsal. New owner Zek says he'll call Unsal and call me back. Zek never called me back---a bad sign usually indicating dishonest business practice. I call him back today to hear him say that Unsal said " battery is only Warranted for 6 months." Really? How convenient. And Zek did NOT call me back to tell me that. Long story short, this place does NOT REFUND FOR DEFECTIVE HARDWARE AND THEY DON'T TELL U THAT UPFRONT. And Zek blamed me for not calling them sooner about the problem, even though battery is well within Warranty Period. If u need a phone screen, MAYBE Zek can sell u a simple plastic screen u can find elsewhere and install urself. If u need HONEST, RELIABLE Parts AND Customer Service, look elsewhere. A shame, as I thought Original owner Unsal was truly a nice and honest guy. I think new owner Zek was lying to me when he said that he had spoken w/Unsal.
*Update: 1.7.20
I must correct my assertion that the battery We Fix It sold to me by previous owner Unsal was bad. It registered bad by Apple Store diagnostics but they concluded that it was holding a charge at the time.
The problem recently was "operator error," I believe, meaning MY error. The battery charging LED is missing. And I'd forgotten that while charging the battery registers an "orange" light on charging plug. And that it takes a bit of time to register any charge, during which the computer will, apparently, not function. I believe I left the computer ON when I thought I'd turned it off the last time I used it a few months ago, so it was completely drained and I thought it had died. It did charge, and appears to be functioning well. My fault. My comments concerning new owner Zek, however, remain correct: He was rude, did Not inquire into the problem but kept interrupting me and misstating what I had told him. And he did Not call me back. I don't think he called Unsal, who from my experience of him was a great guy who actually provided excellent, courteous and professional customer service. And the battery is apparently good. So I am inclined to give Unsal every benefit of doubt. Not so, Zek. I would not do business w/this merchant who cares so little for Customer Service. And, btw, after finding my Apple service receipt--I'd gone to Apple Store for system analysis same day I brought original purchased battery in to Unsal for replacement--it was dated 26 April 2019, so the battery and service was only a little over 8 months old, well within the ONE YEAR WARRANTY Zek misrepresented as only SIX Months. Unsal, I believe, would not have denied service or treated me so shabbily. Zek will. Let that be your guide. Why merchants do not realize that by treating customers dishonorably they damage their bottom line is a puzzling question. So it is important for me to acknowledge and correct my error. I am ill, and told Zek that. My estimation of Zek, I'm afraid, is not in error. May he learn from this and change his practice but I do NOT recommend We Fix It because of Zek and his unreliable ethics and...
Read moreDont bother! Go somewhere else! paid cash for a new screen only to have it FALL OFF! Went back to have it resecured only to be told that they ran out of usual adhesive tape and that they used a much thicker tape. which prevented it from sitting right in the device.(nice try hiding it with your free cheap ass cover that I took off as soon as I seen it). I voiced my concerns at that time and was reassured that they would reorder and replace if I see fit. Due to a problem with the adhesive on the aftermarket product or Screen was not attatched properly! Only to fall off again and crack again. Now, nobody wants to take the responsiblity for their poor workmanship OR shotty aftermarket parts! I called plenty of times but no one ever responded. Even after I was looked in the eyes and promised it would be "no problem". It turned into a problem Very disapointed, have fun spending your quick bucks. And I have no clue why you guys scratched off my devices internal info label. Just shady All i wanted was a replacement screen and proper installation, but instead I'm being given the run around! CAUTION Please do not say one thing to your customer's and really mean another. There is definitely no shorage of screen replacement businesses out there. Location might be convenient but that's about it! I had to retract my previous 5 star review due to this upset! Hope you guys...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at this shop today! Customer service was excellent, welcoming and clean environment:
Some how in the tussle of falling asleep phone in hand, cord wrapped around arms, the tip of the charger became dislodged into the phone and disconnected from the wire. After several attempts at removing it myself, I called my provider-who informed me I would need to physically go into the store to see if it was repairable (despite me over explaining that the piece just needed to be extracted). So that I did, to find they weren't open for another couple of hours. I carried on with my day, battery on 22%, slightly pressed, having accepted the situation at hand.
AND THEN! Mirrrrraaaaaaculously, as I was strolling through the East side of Providence by happenstance stumbled across this little gem on Wickenden street. Upon walking in I was greeted with a pleasant smile. I walked over to the service desk, showed him my phone, he grabbed a tool from a mug on the desk and within minutes he had extracted the remnants of the charger. Clearly my issue wasn't life or death, but certainly inconvenient and could've been costly. I received expedient service and extreme kindness. I recommend this be anyone's first stop for repairs. Bossman...
