Visited Troop for a birthday. Walking in, the place has a modern, hip vibe that's exciting and different. We booked a reservation so we were quickly seated and our waitress Michaela was amazing a took care of us the entire meal. The food is a mix of various styles and uncommon ingredients that made choosing a little difficult yet very exciting (so many great choices!) The drinks were also quite interesting as well including one called Haterade which gave me a laugh. We were seated in front of the kitchen which allowed us to see the various dishes being moved out to guests. Each one was very appetizing and great looking. We had the chicken wings, empanadas, and the fried feta cheese (amazing.) Our main course was huge! I had the street noodles which comes out as a huge bowl full of ingredients which you can add a protein and other goodies. I had the pork belly with my noodles and it was fantastic. Wasn't able to finish the meal, but I can't wait to eat this for lunch tomorrow. We finally finished off with a giant chocolate chip cookie as the birthday cake which had sea salt mixed in with the chocolate (which was melty and warm) a perfect top off to the night. I wanna thank our waitress Michaela and what I assume was the manager(?) As they both made out experience wonderful and we will definitely be returning. Possibly for brunch as they have an amazing brunch menu too. Highly recommend checking this place out...

Woah- such a surprise find while visiting Providence!!! Living in NYC has made me such a food snob but I love when I find amazing local spots in different cities! Troop is a Black owned street food themed restaurant. The inside of the building itself is covered with amazing graffiti art, unique seating, and other fixtures and the menu consists of delicious street foods from around the world.

Was dining solo and ended up eating at the bar. I arrived around 6 and the restaurant was about halfway full at that point and progressively got more full throughout my visit. If you're dining with a larger party I highly suggest a resy, just to be safe! The bartender who served me was so helpful and he gave me plenty of recs to try. In fact, I literally ordered everything he recommended ha. To start I ordered the Uruguayan chorizo meatballs and they were SO flavorful. The bartender let me know that the chef is from Uruguay and the love oozing out of this dish was apparent. Then I ordered the Banh mi which comes with pork belly as the primary protein. The pork belly was juicy and tender and full of flavor. The Banh mi came with a mountain of fries that were piping hot and crispy. For drinks I ended up sipping on the Smoke n' Flowers- a cocktail made with mezcal, tequila, hibiscus, and raspberry. Absolutely delicious and so well balanced. I truly cannot say anything bad about my experience here. A must try when you're...

Troop is such a special and unique place! For my girlfriends and I, it’s our go to hang out. Why? Well first of all the drink menu is spot on, they have a collection of uniquely handcrafted cocktails that are delicious, reasonably priced and certainly made with love. Secondly, the food menu is on point, we love culture, so we enjoy that troop has a variety of street food on their menu (def some of the best fried chicken, ever).

The environment is our number one reason of why we come here. Troop provides an old school golden era vibe and features fantastic DJ’s and local talent. This place turns into a party on the weekends! The patrons that come here are down to earth, everyone is there for the same reason... to show love, enjoy the good vibes, have fun and let loose. There’s so much culture, style, and so many beautiful and vibrant personalities that walk through that door. We’ve made so many friends and have had such memorable times here. Wether we are enjoying a brunch party, learning new moves at Latin night, or rocking out to some of our fav DJ’s - it’s always the best day/night of the week. Thank you for creating such a dope spot. You can tell that so much thought and love went into this place.

Troop feels like home.

Try it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed! (Did I mention that parking is super easy and...
