Public Shop & Gallery — Attraction in Providence

I have attended a few events hosted by Public Shop & Gallery. The vibe is always immaculate and this was the same when they hosted their private opening for their new location at 50 Agnes Street. The space was so beautiful that I approached one of the owners to ask if they rent out the space for private events. To my surprise, they did! I immediately secured the gallery space that doubles as a venue for my son’s 3rd birthday party at the end of November.

Cas was amazing to work with. She responded to my inquiries promptly, was there the afternoon of the party to do a final cleaning before set up. The venue also came with 5 six foot tables and plenty of chairs and seating options. It was nice to not have to worry about renting those necessary items. I had plenty of space to put the food out and for guests to eat. They even allowed me into the space early enough to decorate and set up, giving me ample time to go home, get dressed and return stress-free with the birthday boy. One of the biggest perks of using Public Shop & Gallery is that it is affordable, unlike many other venues in Providence and I loved that I was able to stay within my community and support a small POC owned business. Thank you to Cas for offering her and her partner’s space for our community event in January. They were so attentive to what we needed and required in the space and helped us tremendously with set up, throughout the event and afterwards. It’s a great space to host any type of event. Ours was a community gathering to share a research project we are working on at Women and Infants Hospital. Whatever it is you want to host they will help make it happen! Public is a beautiful space for all kinds of events. SISTA Fire held a two day training for about 25 people from different orgs in RI. The atmosphere was intimate and which created the perfect vibe for our time together. It was comfortable, but not cramped, and we had space to feed folks.
