My husband and I visited the restaurant yesterday evening after work, opting for the wrap and the two chicken sandwiches for $5 through the drive-thru. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The staff member at the drive-thru was condescending and seemed to struggle to understand our order.
After placing our order at the window, we received our food and noticed that the wrap was microwaved, covered in excessive mayo, and accompanied by hot coleslaw—quite unappetizing. Displeased with the meal, I decided to order a three-piece chicken instead.
When I entered the restaurant to express my concerns about microwaving coleslaw and mayo, the employee reacted dismissively, questioning whether I wanted a refund for something I had already eaten, and exchanged glances with his coworkers with a smirk. I found this attitude extremely unprofessional. I had no intention of asking for a refund; I simply wanted to provide feedback and place a new order.
Having lived in Maywood for 54 years and being part of the community, it’s disheartening to see such a lack of respect for local customers. If the staff is unable to properly engage with the community or provide adequate customer service, it may be best for the business to reconsider its presence in the area.

Most times when I visit it is after 8 p.m. in the evening. They never have chicken ready at that time, even though they are open until 10 p.m. The other pet peeve I have is on top of that many times I find the staff rude. To them it is okay to make people wait 15 to 20 minutes for chicken to fry. Then they can't even give a person a pepper (or soda, something) after making a person wait 20 minutes. Reason, because they told you it would be a 15 to 20-minute wait. I know for a fact they would have more business if they had better customer service. I was informed by Door Dash that the order would be ready to pick up at a certain time. I ended up waiting for at least 15 minutes in the store while they prepared the order from the start right in front of me! Then once they seal up my bag, an employee runs out to my car to catch me before I pull off to add a final item to my bag that they forgot.
