Surf's Up Maywood Chicken & Fish — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I placed a pick up order at the Surf’s Up Maywood location over the phone around 1:55 pm and was told by the lady it would be 25min. I go in at 2:24pm to pick up my food just for the lady to tell me I never called and placed an order. Instead of admitting that she forgot and making up for the inconvenience, she put the order in and I had to wait another 25min. When I went in to pick up my order, there was no staff in the front and there was an order left on the counter. I assumed it was mine because I was the only one in there. Checking the order I did see it was mine but after paying $22 there was exactly 8wings, 4 little strips of fish, and a small amount of fries. Waiting 50min I was hoping I would be compensated for a little bit more. Finally, the chef arrived after five minutes, and I learned the lady had just left and he knew nothing of my call in order. I asked for a corporate number but I was given fries instead as if being given two extra wings or another piece of fish was much for my 50min wait. My family recently had Surf’s Up cater for our family reunion and being a regular customer I would have never thought I would receive such horrible service. I’ve had two prior problems with Surf’s up but they’re food has always been good and I love to support black businesses. But today was totally unacceptable and sadly Surf’s up has lost me...

I placed my order online where it gave the option to deliver, I selected delivery, placed an order for over 72 dollars, The site confirmed thag my order had gone through. I waited over an hour, got nothing. I then called to check the status of my order and was told in a nasty tone that they did not deliver and that they had simply cancelled my order, leaving me expecting food that was not on the way. I went ahead and placed the order anyway and told them that I would come and pick it up. They seemed as if they were mad about that also. Once I got there after trying to call several times and not getting an answer, for help finding the location, I walked in and all of my order looked as if it had been sitting out getting cold, and I was told to wait outside. I waited another 15 minutes, even though I ordered more than an hour before arrival. Once I got the food home, everything was cold and gross, and there was mold on my dinner...

I had them do a catering job for me. The money I paid for wings equaled out to $90 for 45 wings. Guess what, they were party wings. Had the nerve to leave the tips on. I ordered corn and potatoes and got NO CORN! He said he was giving me free hushpuppies, got none. Said he was giving me free fried biscuits, they were raw in the in the middle. I refused to serve them. Food was cold. His response "well it was warm when it got there, you need some burners." I've never had a problem with getting warm food and serving food in 15 mins. Fish was so hard and old. My team complained. No plates, serving untensils, or anything....
