The food was incredible. One of the best steakhouses I’ve been to in my life, and easily the best one in Utah I’ve had so far.

Server was polite and friendly, the owner greeted us personally, and the food was delivered promptly with amazing presentation.

Restaurant itself isn’t very large, and parking space isn’t in abundance, but there was no traffic so we got in easily. If this spot blows up though (as it should), then good luck trying to find parking.

The quality and taste of the food are a tier above what you’d expect from a place like this. The pricing, location, and indoor building itself would suggest a mid-level steakhouse, well above the chain restaurant, but not on the level of the super pricy places like Gallagher’s or Del Frisco’s.

This was not the case at all. Our food was perfectly cooked without having to even specify how we liked our steaks cooked, even the lower quality cuts of meat were so juicy, tender, and flavorful that you could have convinced me that I ordered Filet Mignon and I’d believe you.

The Bone Marrow appetizer is unreal, and was so light that I easily had enough room to eat the entire steak with dessert. Speaking of which, the flan was amazing. As someone who grew up around a spanish community and often ate authentic flan, this is some quality stuff.

I truly do recommend La Vaca to anyone even passing by the Provo area. Even if you have to go out of your way to swing by, it’s 100% worth it. I will definitely be returning and bringing my...

If you’re looking for the best steakhouse in Utah Valley, look no further than La Vaca in Provo. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Julio, the owner, whose kindness and hospitality immediately set the tone for the evening. He was genuinely inviting and made us feel like more than just guests — he made us feel at home.

The ambience at La Vaca is intimate and relaxed, the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy great company, and savor every bite. It strikes that perfect balance of cozy and refined, making it ideal for a date night or a special dinner out.

The staff were consistently attentive and friendly. They anticipated our needs without hovering, and every interaction felt warm and professional. It’s clear that service is a top priority here.

Now, onto the star of the show — the steaks!

I ordered the entraña steak (skirt steak), recommended by Julio, and it was simply phenomenal: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection.

My wife had the ribeye steak, which was equally outstanding, tender, and bursting with flavor.

Both cuts were executed flawlessly, making it one of the most memorable steak dinners we’ve ever had.

Between Julio’s personal touch, the intimate atmosphere, the attentive staff, and the unforgettable steaks, La Vaca easily earns its reputation as the best steakhouse in Utah Valley. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Highly...

While attending Senior Missionary training at the MTC, my wife and I decided to step out for a special meal. The MTC food is good, but we were craving a great steak. I searched on Google Maps, and La Vaca popped up. I prefer supporting local restaurants over big chains, and I’m so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly BYU student on staff. The owner personally came to our table, sat down with us, and offered his recommendations—which we happily followed. The calamari appetizer was outstanding, with shrimp included as a surprise bonus. My wife ordered the Entraña steak, which she loved, and I chose the Ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly. The roasted zucchini on my plate was also excellent.

The owner returned later to share something special they do for young missionaries: when families bring their missionary in the Tuesday before they report to the MTC, the missionary’s steak is free, and they get to place a pushpin on a world map. He invited us to add a pin as well. To top it all off, he surprised us with a complimentary dessert—absolutely delicious.

La Vaca is a true gem in Provo. Wonderful food, genuine hospitality, and a personal touch that makes you feel like family. Highly...

I don't write many reviews, but this was exceptional. I took a group of 9 to celebrate birthdays. I'm not sure if we liked the steak or the owner more. We started with calamari and tacos. They were both amazing. For dinner we shared short ribs, rib eye, entrana, and the tomahawk. Everything was fantastic. The kids favorite was the tomahawk. I thought bang for the buck the entrana won. Dessert was wonderful. Just as impressive as the food was the owner who made the night. He welcomed us when we walked in and then shared his passion for food for almost 2 hours. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'm excited that I no longer need to Salt Lake to find great meat.

Wow! They knocked it out of the park. Wasn’t sure what to expect since there wasn’t a lot of information online, but so glad we took a chance on it. The owner (I think?) suggested Calamari and said it was going to be the best we’ve ever had. He was SO RIGHT. It comes with a side salad of onions, tomatoes and some kind of sauce and it made the entire dish. They previously owned The Brunch House next door as well as Asado, so they’ve really dialed in their customer service and kitchen speed. Read their story in the photo of the menu! It’ll make you love them even more. The steak was incredible and look how cute the carrots are 🥹 Everyone please go try this place!
