Very dishonest place Couldn’t pay me to come back here. When you get your bill, it won’t match what you chose on the menu. You are given different prices on your receipt than what the menu shows and at the bottom it says they’ll give you a “discount” if you pay in cash. Lol. No signs anywhere explaining this upfront except a very small note on the back page of the menu, which is absolutely ridiculous. Post your policies and let customers know upfront rather than hiding it. Horrible business practice. I went to the front to double check that there was no notice/sign anywhere and the front staff didn’t even know what I was talking about when I asked about being charged different prices than what was listed. Aside from the predatory practice with billing, food wise it was very mediocre and overpriced. Half was okay and half wasn’t really edible and you easily could make it better at home. Ex: scrambled eggs were way over done and hard and rubbery and bacon was disgusting and way undercooked. Staff were really nice in the beginning but it went downhill as soon as we were sat. The service was nonexistent and we had empty water the entire time until the waitress refilled them when she brought us the bill. I came here once months ago and it was a lot nicer then and didn’t have this pricing scheme. I was so surprised because it was the opposite of the first time I came here and read some more of the reviews 😬 This place will continue to loose customers unless changes are made.

**Adding more to address the ridiculously stupid response to my review and add a photo of the to go box of eggs we couldn’t eat to prove we did not “eat everything off our plate” and bail🙄. As noted by MANY others here, the owner’s incredibly rude, lying responses to customers just show how horrible this business is running. You can make random jabs at customers and lie all you want in your responses, but enough dissatisfied people are posting here and showing in their reviews the type of business you’re running. Train your staff, be upfront about how the prices in the menu are not the prices you’ll be handed in the bill (get a sign posted up front about it at LEAST), and please, for your own sake, get a PR person to take the keyboard away from you so you don’t tank your own...

ETA: My husband ate the food I did not eat and said that the chicken was really good! He loved it. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but there were too many bad moments not to leave one. The check in process here was not horrible, and luckily we had a spot to sit while we waited for a table to open up. Once we were seated the waitress got all of our orders and left. She did not return for a good 30-45 minutes to tell us she had not entered our orders in and said “sorry” multiple tables and people that were seated long after us were receiving their meals and refills. I got a hot chocolate and I will give them that. It was one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had. But the waitress had not asked us if we wanted refills until towards the end of our dining visit. I ordered chicken and waffles. DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU DONT MIND BONES IN YOUR CHICKEN. This meal is my usual to order when trying a new place, and I have never eaten chicken and waffles that had bones. I was a little surprised and the menu does not mention that the chicken has bones. I didn't really wanna eat it, because syrup and eating something with your hands didn’t really sound good to me. I think it was the owner that was walking around to all of the tables (which isn’t bad) stopped by our table and was asking if something was wrong, and I had mentioned the chicken having bones and that it was not what I was expecting. He called me “white girl” and I laughed but was finding that weird. He then began telling me that the chicken and waffles was normal and that what I had been wanting would have been chicken tenders and waffles (they don’t offer that). Then he asked me why I was “so tall” before getting up and leaving. No resolution. The waitress finally brought us our check and my friend told me that my hot chocolate was put on our bill. Then when it was my turn the waitress said, “here is for your hot chocolate and chicken and waffles” so I said, “oh I think my friend had my drink on her bill.” All the waitress did was say, “oh sorry.” Didn’t double check it and went on with her day. Having had this bad of an experience in a long time. Probably never going back. Would not recommend. It was busy, so it must be good, but just wasn’t...

Our waitress, Jade, was terrific. She explained the menu well, was very personable, and offered to change anything we didn’t like.

Unfortunately, after waiting 45 minutes for our food, we didn’t have time to wait for anything to be remade. My wife had the chicken and waffles, which were fine—very standard, with overcooked or frozen chicken (slightly rubbery). I ordered the country fried steak, which the menu clearly stated came with “fresh” sausage gravy. Instead, it was served with the very typical white country gravy that tasted like it came from a box. With the menu claiming one thing, it was a very disappointing experience to be served something entirely different.

The home fries/potatoes were very uniform—seemingly frozen—but tasted good nonetheless. The special croissant French toast was also a letdown. I expected a flaky, layered toast, but it was instead chopped-up, two-day-old croissant from their bakery, glued together with egg. It took a long time to arrive, and by the time it was served, the toast was cold. The rest of the meal was lukewarm. Guests seated 20 minutes after us received their food before we did.

Overall, the service pace was poor—though to be clear, Jade herself was great. We explained a few of the issues to her, and she was super helpful, making a genuine attempt to make it right. Unfortunately, all her manager allowed was $2 off my $17 meal. On a $70 bill, that was their solution.

In past reviews, I’ve seen the manager respond by saying they can’t do anything after the fact and that issues should be mentioned to your server during the meal. I did exactly that, and this was the result. It appears they can’t—or won’t—do anything in the moment or in retrospect, because they don’t value their customers.

I’m really tired of Utah restaurants and their inflated rave reviews. With no real competition, most are subpar. This should be a 3.2 on Google at best—maybe lower after reading some of the manager/owner responses to poor reviews. It’s a shame how little genuine customer...
