Alberto Tacos — Restaurant in Pueblo

Alberto's is a relatively new place on Pueblo's East Hwy 50 bypass, billed as Authentic "California Style" Mexican Food being from L.A. I knew I had to give it a try ok IMMEDIATLY Being From Cali My First Question? "Tamale Dulce"? A California Staple and SPECIAL Califas Estillo per NO🥺 , lol maybe one day but not this day, also anyone that knows me knows I am a Spanish rice Snob I Base A LOT of my enjoyment or dissaproval in a spanish or mexican dinner entree solely on the quality of the rice and this place did NOT Dissapoint wow THE RICE Perfectly moist, not wet, not overly dry in my opinion some of the BEST Resturant rice ever, also you all know by now im not a fan of refried beans, BUT Again well done, great flavor, great texture very well done, speaking of texture wow the guacamole, again not really California style which is normally a watery green sauce style I personally do not care for But This Guac wow the presentation was awesome, fresh mashed avocado, with a side of fresh cut pico style onion and tomato, lime wedges I Had the Adobada plate and Quessabirria taco, both were presented beautifully, and very flavorful, also the salsa verde y salsa rojo simillar to Adolfos yet much more flavorful and well seasoned I Was Totally impressed with the flavors, textures and over all presentation if the food only downside is the position of the "Drive Thru" I Believe The Location is one if the other only downfalls most locals hear the location and don't necessarily associate it with GREAT Food, i Was Super impressed with the food, do not let the address throw you off or scare you away this place is a hidden gem worthy of a fine mexican dining reputation with reasonable prices definetly #KichRadio #SizzleReviews Approved! #SizzleSaidIt I...

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Pueblo! As a dasher, I love to try new places to eat. As of today, I can say that I USED to go to Los Girasoles AKA (previously) Fritangas because it was pretty much the best tasting Mexican AFAIK, but this is no longer the case. Had the steak nachos today, I was pleased with the serving as well as the home style flavor.

I had my doubts when this location first opened because you can never be sure, but I started seeing lots of Hispanic construction workers coming in for lunch lately, and well, I always follow those guys to the hot spots because they yearn for home cooked meals, something I hardly ever seen with the aforementioned restaurant.

Food gave my wife the worst gas. Our house smelled like a skunk had bad diareah and then died. I made her sleep in the car. I might let her come back tomorrow. Will update. 11/12 update: Filing for divorce today. The gas hasn't stopped and actually got worse. I think her intestines have been permanently damaged.
