El Nuevo Yuquerí — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

I was swimming in the ocean a ways away from my hotel and ended up injured on some rocks. I limped out of the ocean and found this restaurant. Despite my dripping, pathetic state, the 2 men there were very kind. They let me use their phone, gave me ice for my ankle, and were reassuring that it was OK to sit there a while until my husband could pick me up. I had the pleasure of sitting out by the grill and observing their efficient, friendly service, and I enjoyed watching the various birds in the natural area next to the picnic tables. The sights and smells of the grilled chicken and pork were awesome. I can see why this is a favorite among locals and tourists.
