SolÉo — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

Avoid this place if you can! First, we ordered our food 1st at the table and were served last after asking repeatedly where out food was (25 minutes after everyone else at the table). The food was barely edible and bland. Then, when we were going to pay, we noticed the waitress charged us for a plate we didn't order which was 25%+ more than the original one. After much discussion with the manager, we got back only a portion of the extra charge. Finally, when we went to pay, we didn't realize (and they didn't tell us) that gratuity was already included on the check, so when prompted on the cc machine for a tip, we left a nice one. In the end, we ended up leaving a 35% tip for food we didn't even finish eating, sneaky service, and drinks we could have gotten at any nearby bar for less.

What a excellent choice!! We went to SolEo for dinner on a Thursday at 5p. We had a party of 8 and there was plenty of seating. They had ceiling fans in the dining area which made dining comfortable and the service was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! The food was unbelievably delicious. For starters we had KanKan bites, the 3 flavors of alcapurrias and the bacalaoitos. We chose 8 different meals for dinner and EVERY single dish was delicious! The service was impeccable. Frances, our server, was so friendly. All smiles. There was another server, we didn't get his name. He was beyond accommodating as well. We had such a great experience, we're returning on Saturday. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! Just a 6-minute walk from Selva Boutique Hotel, it's a true gem. The owner is incredibly passionate about his establishment and it shows. He's often seen mingling with guests, ensuring everyone is enjoying their experience. I've been promoting this spot to all our hotel guests, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The food is delicious, authentically Puerto Rican, and freshly prepared to order. I've tried numerous items from the menu since their opening, and every dish has been a delight.
