Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Queen Creek

Went in tonight 15min before closing. You could tell the representatives were not welcoming at all. There were customers in the establishment eating ice cream and also Customers that came in after us. Our Order was nothing demanding just a few scoops In a cup and cone. Amy did not greet or welcome us, clearly showed on her face that we were a inconvenience to her. This is a poor representation on this establishment. Do the employees know that with out the customers how do they expect a business to be profitable and pay their salaries. Definitely a disconnect in understanding that they are in the customer service business and treating people right is a requirement. I will not do business in this establishment again due to this experience. It may not be a big deal to them but I can guarantee that this type of treatment will cause more families to feel like me and take their business elsewhere. I do hope that the owner has a coaching opportunity with his staff because I do feel small business owners go into business to be successful not to fail and this is the fastest way to fail by having poor...

BR ice cream itself is great if you like traditional, hard ice cream (I do!). I love that they have a new featured flavor or 2 every month to make it more interesting. This location has its pros and cons though. It's nice to have an ice cream shop in Central QC, and most of the time, when I go, the employees are at least attentive, if not friendly. You can sample as many flavors as you want, and they always have water and cups available for customers. They are really good about letting me customize my orders too. The thing I've noticed though is that there are frequently only teenage employees with no supervision, which means that no one is cleaning up regularly, they are antsy to close up when it gets within an hour of closing time, and a few of them lack basic necessary customer service skills and food service skills. I continue to go back because of the location and for some favorite flavors, but I do wish the owners would do something to take some pride in the appearance of their shop and in the way they train...

So I'm on the fence with my rating. I always love ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Today was no different as I got my two scoop sundae. Delicious! 5 stars for that. Customer service was lacking. Love when I asked for a water cup the guy looked right at the near empty water pitcher I was standing in front of (which I checked before asking) and asked there's no water cups? Then there's the second guy floating around the back of the store doing whatever. Couldn't really tell but at 8pm it was busy tonight and all the tables were dirty. We used baby wipes to make our table reasonable. Speaking of baby wipes...nice touch on the baby table and chair. Wish that was halfway clean. What's with every chair having duct tape? People were constantly coming in so it seemed business is good. Get some new chair pads please. Again, I went for ice cream and was not disappointed so not gonna doing them too bad. We were still able to sit, eat and enjoy ourselves. Let's hope for improvements...
