So I know things will be happening a bit differently during Covid but please let patrons know about added charges. We ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich that came with no set up....lettuce tomato onion or mayo. Nothing. So I don't really mind paying ten cents for a slice of tomato and ten cents for a slice of lettuce...but tell your guest these things are extra. Also...just give patrons a sandwich with the standard condiments. Just seems a little bit petty. Also...when I order a salad at restaurants usually only a bullet of dressing comes with a huge salad. I know this and always order extra. It would have been nice of the waitress to ket meknow it comes in a large bowl and if extra is still wanted that I would be charged extra. That is just a common courtesy especially when charging extras of your customers for things that are normally no up charge at other restaurants. If you are doing this because of Covid then just let your patrons know. We have been going to Kellys and ordering for years and this was not how it was in the past. Also...I got over the never receiving my take outbox that I requested....but if you cleared the table of dishes and drop the check. Don't then go off and converse with other employees and then never check back with us to pay the bill. Come on...you guys can do better even in a tent. Also....when you come back with my credit receipt if you want a tip added in and the card signed for please give your patron a pen. Don't make them have to then search for one on their own to pay...

I'm rating this on today's experience only because all other times it has been pleasant but today, Labor Day, I should have guessed it was going to be super busy. First off, people that sat after us got their food quickly. We were sitting there for 20 mins before the waitress came and said that they gave my order to another table. What? I blame her for not being there when our food was ready and some other waitress took it. She did give me a cup of soup (foc) because I told her I was starving. Then when our food finally came my burger was not well done so back it went and then my hubby complained that the pot roast was cold and the potatoes were not cooked thoroughly. After waiting so long, my appetite was gone. When my food finally came back I noticed that the fries were refried and you could taste the oil in it. I ate it because we ordered it but we were very unhappy. My hubby left 2/3 of his plate and I ate about 2/3 of mine. To brighten things up I ordered a piece of pie which I always have and to my surprise the waitress brought it out all discombobulated. It look like soup, on top of everything else. I was so annoyed that I wanted to talk to the owner but my hubby said let's just go. I had to leave because I was so annoyed and my hubby stayed to pay the check. Next time we'll go when it's not so crowded and things are not overlooked but it'll be a long while because this experience has...

We had a nice late Friday evening dinner on the outdoor patio near the main entrance. We didn't go inside, but there were a lot of cars in the lot-- evidently it's a popular place. The server was busy, but still got to us quickly for our order and beverages. She was friendly and efficient, and our order came out quickly. The music coming from the outdoor speakers mounted on the wall was a little loud, but we could still converse. I liked the stone block wall and vegetation that separated us from the parking lot, and it made kind of a Gaelic feel to the small area.

My wife had the chicken parmesan, which came with fettuccine noodles and garlic bread. It was very good: the meat was tender and relatively thick, and the sauce was tasty. I had the lasagna, which also came with garlic bread. I was not impressed with it, as it was served as two thin lumps covered by some cheese and a sauce. The actual lasagna was made as if you took three or four noodles and had a thin smear of whitish cheese between each one. It essentially was like just eating a very thick noodle covered in sauce. The sauce was tasty, but had almost no meat in it that I could discern.

Overall we enjoyed going to Kelly's and would return, but I cannot recommend...

First, I would like to say Holy Smokes! Why have we never been here before? We come into Quincy about 3-4 times a month and have never stopped in here. Maybe, because the parking lot is always packed. We thought we would give it a go today and my goodness... it's everything a great restaurant/casual bar should be. It hit all the marks. Top notch salad bar with two soups. Fresh ingredients all throughout. Eight dressings to choose from. Several cold pasta salads. A cute corner of freshly made desserts, with the famous cinnamon roll included. My husband ordered mozzarella cheesesticks, which are made in house. A tenderloin sandwich and fries. I ordered the catfish dinner with a baked potato and 1 trip to the salad bar. I've had alot of catfish in my day, all over the midwest and I have to say, the catfish was cooked to perfection! Juicy, no bones, the breading was 20 out of 10. Our waitress was on point. Our drinks never went dry, everyone was quick to clear plates. All employees worked together and all the customers were laughing aloud and smiling. We enjoyed our first dining experience here. The only complaint we have, is that for such a high volume of customers that it does seem alittle tight and congested.

I almost never give 5 stars! Kelly's was very well reviewed, that and the preview of the menu is what brought us to begin with. There is plenty of comfortable and cozy seating inside and out. See the host to sit on the patio. The full bar makes a Wonderful Long Island which is definitely Not a premix. We went in thinking of tenderloin sandwiches, but when I saw the salmon and the tuna steak, I was tempted. The tenderloin is slightly larger than the bun with an airy, crispy light breading. Offered with lettuce, pickle, onion, and tomato, but they'll put anything you want on it. The salad bar is nicely stocked with spinach and mixed lettuce and a nice choice of toppings and good selection of quality dressings. There are always 2 hot dishes and 2 soups on it. The cheese soup was fantastic with some unexpected temderveggies in it. Restrooms are clean, it takes a moment to find them. We will definitely be back here and I'll do my best to try something different.
