Mi Jalapeno — Restaurant in Quincy

11/2020 We have supported this business a lot during COVID and it has been a good experience until I went in recently to get a bunch of gift cards. The cashier was not friendly, did not know how to ring them up (overcharged me because she didn't know how to ring up a gift card, which is non-taxable). When I pointed this out her attitude was basically take it or leave it. I went ahead and paid the overcharge to get my gift cards (they were being donated to a charity & I got them to support small businesses in the area). She said nothing, no thank you, have a nice day, etc... and just left them on the counter for me. I would recommend having someone else be the "face" of your restaurant as this was a very poor experience. Not changing the rating left previously because have always had good experiences until now but not too excited about going back again given this.

Here for work was looking for a good spot for mexican food. This place had good reviews so I thought I would try it. I ordered the whole fried fish but was bought the red snapper filet., which was the fish I wanted but I thought it was the whole red snapper. I kept it to take it to go but had them bring me what I saw on the menu picture . They did bring it to me...wish I had left it where it was...on the menu. The fish was fried so hard it was not edible. No one came back to see if food was okay so I was able to not only write out the review but post it to, and I am a slow typer. This place is a no for me.. I will not come back..and I don't recommend. However in the mist of posting I had to edit because the young man came back . Asked how it was and I told him it was horrible.. sorry. Still will...

I’m from out of town and met some family friends here. I had a horrible experience. I have a dairy allergy that actually causes issues with my breathing and explained to the waiter, while ordering, that I did not want cheese or sour cream on my taco salad or the side of beans I ordered. When the food came both items had cheese. When I pointed it out he got a huge attitude with me and actually tossed the plate of beans on the empty table next to ours like it was me being picky about the food. Horrible service and really salty food. I’m pretty sure the beans still had some form of dairy as I left coughing and wheezing after only one bite. I will not be back here during my visit or any visits in the future and will definitely not be recommending to family and friends...
