I wanted to take my family somewhere new so we gave Tower Pizza a try. Right away I see this is Quincy's answer to Pizza Ranch. The decor is an interesting clash. The exterior and lobby are done up like a polished hacienda. In the actual dining room it's very rustic. You're suddenly transported from the hacienda to the cow pokes mess hall and if you are not disoriented enough there's a bit of Italy in the booths. Grapes overhead and Italian coastlines on the wall and the dimmest lights possible. If you have a less than stellar looking date, this might be the place for you. The light was low, but not low enough to hide the dried sauce stuck to the stack of plates placed at our table. Strange plates they are too, not big enough for pizza. I had thought at first it was a nice hint at dessert, but no the tiny plates were indeed for pizza. The coffee was horrible, I know our lovely waitress had to go brew it herself. On to the food itself. We ordered a veggie pizza, chicken tacos, and barbecue wings. The wings were double fried. I saw a similar review on the fries so I assume they're doing so to all fried food. If you don't know what that means - they fry the chicken/fries/etc and then fry them again just before serving. Something that saves minutes, but dries the food to a crisp. Chicken wings should not crunch. The pizza crust was obviously premade. I'm guessing they add the topping to customize the pizza since they're not actually part of the pizza, but rather piled on top. The veggies themselves aren't chopped for pizza. Sliced tomato and pepper, this reeks of lazy prep work. The same slices are used for salads, sandwiches, and pizza. They aren't chopped for pizza or thin sliced for sandwiches -it's the same across the board which tells me it's less cooking and more assembling when orders come in. Canned mushrooms will never be good- stop using them, people don't eat out because they want canned toppings. They want better than that I assure you. The crust was crispy, but the inside was still doughy. They cooked it enough to melt the cheese and crisp the edges. The chicken tacos were inedible. I took the wings home to the dogs, the pizza to my chickens, but I couldn't inflict those chicken tacos on anything. Again, no chopped onions, it's the green onion that gets used for salads. There wasn't any cheese on them and the chicken was green looking. The shells were not toasted causing the entire plate to be a soggy mess with the taco shells sticking wetly to the plate. We left shortly after the food came, paid the bill, and said not a word to my wonderful server. I honestly didn't have the energy to explain how much they had failed in the simple task of putting edible food on a table. The bill was like $57. We went to Best Buffet and feasted on frog legs. If the owners truly care they'll take this as constructive criticism and improve. Actually prep fresh ingredients, stop pre frying, make your crust in house, up your booth wattage, clean everything - if I can see sauce down the wall, piles of trash, and bussing tubs on the floor in the kitchen doorway I can only imagine how the rest of the...
Read moreI wish I could give no stars. I placed a delivery order that included shrimp tacos. On the menu it states 3 shrimp tacos topped with lettuce, cheese and Pico. After waiting over 45 minutes for my order to be delivered, I opened my box to a couple pieces of shrimp on a tortilla loaded with lettuce and large chunks of tomatoes. I called and spoke to the girl who answered the phone at tower and let her know the tacos were not as described on the menu. She offered no solution except a manager to help me. The manager had no clue why she was given my phone call. After explaining 3 times how my order was not as described on the menu, she suggested that Tower could remake my order and swap out the plates. I waited another 30 min for the delivery driver to return to open my box to tons of lettuce and finely chopped tomatoes with a few pieces of onion. I called Megan the manager again who told me the cheese was under everything. After dumping everything off the taco I found the small pinch of cheese. I expressed how unsatisfied I was and she pretty much told me oh well. I then told her I would post this review and she told me to do whatever. I will not be ordering from...
Read more1st time here from KC MO. Very difficult to pick from menu but decided on the mini chimis, 2 beef and 2 chicken, the beef was probably my favorite but chicken was still quite good. Aunt got the 1 beef chimi ORDER which is HUGE BTW! The cheese sauce was AWESOME, the rice cooked to its own level of perfection, the guacamole was good and they didn't shy on the sour cream even if asking for extra (they gave us almost a side bowl! The green thing in the picture is a key lime something (no it doesnt taste like key lime but i do say it was very tastee). Service provided by Hannah, incredible waitress. Peach margaritas was fair, the thin crust pizza was amazing, not too much sauce and perfect amount of cheese, overall experience was golden for me! Would recommend giving...
