We often eat lunch or have afternoon coffee & a snack at the Springfield location. Always good food & decent, friendly service, even at very busy times. Were in Quincy shopping & decided to stop in for coffee & pecan rolls. There were three people in line- not really busy- but only one person was taking orders, so we did have to wait a bit- no big deal. When we got our mugs I turned to the coffee & saw that all they had was light roast (đ) and hazelnut. I turned back to the counter & asked for additional coffee. The server said he could brew some in five minutes & asked if we wanted dark roast or decaf. We really wanted both, but my husband settled for hazelnut & I requested decaf. He told me they only make those on request in the afternoon. ( I would think decaf would have higher demand in the afternoon, but whatever!) We waited at least five minutes & I went back to check- no coffee. Went back again; still no coffee. Made eye contact with the server, who asked if he could help me. Coffee? Almost ready, he said, 30 seconds. I rolled my eyes. He said, â I had to wait on them,( referring to other customers ), youâre not the only one in the store.â I returned to my table. When I finally saw him bring the coffee out, I went to get mine. He said, âHere it is- fresh!â I asked if he was the manager; he replied that he was. All I could say was, âWow.â He retorted he wished the worst part of his day was waiting for someone to make him coffee! Now, I donât know how his day was, and itâs not my job to care. His body language showed that he felt waiting on customers was beneath him, & his actions & words bore this out. Needless to say, we will never be back. This guy needs some customer...
Read moreI usually love going to Panera, Iâve never had a bad experience except for today I went through the drive through, I had gotten s gift card and it wasnât working I assured the lady I hadnât used it so she kept trying it so I got on the phone with the person who had given it to me to see if they had used it, then the bald headed manager assuming his name is Jeffrey because the receipt he so rudely shoved in my face said that, he gave me a number to call so I handed my food back because I didnât know how long it would take and I didnât have any cash he then asked me âso you donât want your food?â In a very harsh tone I told him I wasnât going to take food I couldnât pay for so I started to drive off as he yelled at me out the drive up window to have a nice day I was still pretty close and on the phone so I said you too in a quiet tone, he then yelled yeah at me very rudely. I donât know who this guy is but I honestly donât think he needs to be working here if this is how he...
Read moreI order through drive thru...I have eaten at many Paneraâs but this is the first time at Quincy. The Mac and cheese was great, the broccoli cheese soup was fine but the outer crust on the chicken salad sandwich was like leather. I had the Cubano and it was not pressed the way a Cubano normally is and the pork was so dry I had to pull it off and it was it wasnât even in correct bread. The baguettes were not just crusty they were hard and the bottoms were grey...I was so looking forward to my sandwich since it is my favorite....now I am not sure if I will ever come back. I advocate healthy eating which is why I donât mind paying a little more. But this was beyond horrible on the sandwiches. And it was my husbands first experience. If I was dine in I would have sent it back. In fact, mine was so bad. It is...
