NOVEMBER 2024 UPDATE I’ve tried more dishes since my last review. Some were misses, but I’ll keep my rating at a 5 because I still love the fried rice, value, and service. Pad Thai: Almost couldn’t finish it because it was too sweet, which seems to be a common downfall. Pad See Ew: Nice wok flavor. Overall good but could be less oily. Crispy Pork: Lots of positive reviews for this, so maybe it tastes better dining in, but the pork in my take-out order was very dry, and the skin was chewy rather than crispy, despite eating it within 10 minutes. I also found the sauce to be a tad too sweet again. Pad Woonsen: This was my first time trying this Thai dish. I liked the amount of vegetables and protein. Tons of umami. I wouldn’t get it again only because I’m not a fan of mushy noodles, but this is just personal preference—the dish itself is good. Mango with Sweet Rice: Very filling portion size. Rice was properly sticky; mangos were ok. Will definitely satisfy a sweet craving.
AUGUST 2024 I ordered from here a handful of times during the pandemic according to my order history, but I don’t remember what I used to get. I decided to try this place again years later and got the Basil Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken ($11.35). It was delicious! Now I know why I ordered from here so much. The fried rice was the perfect balance of saltiness, sweetness, and spiciness. The chicken was crispy and tender for the most part (there were 1-2 dry pieces). Service was also friendly and fast for pickup, and the lunch price is unbeatable for the...
Read moreThis review has been over a year in the making, but my opinion remains the same - Thai Sapp has the best Thai food in all of Quincy by a landslide.
We eat here at least twice a month, and visit after visit, no matter which dish I try, the quality and taste of the food is outstanding and the excellent service of the friendly staff has remained consistent since they first opened for business.
Amy is my favorite waitress - this small cozy restaurant only has a few tables and isn’t well suited to very large parties, but the decor is quaint and welcoming - perfect for dinner for two. We get take out most often - their Avocado Fresh Rolls are to die for - the avocado and carrots are so fresh and crispy. The chicken satay skewers are also a favorite - the chicken is juicy, perfectly grilled, and lightly spiced - the peanut sauce served with both of these dishes is the most authentic and flavorful I’ve ever had.
Cheers to Amy and the chefs for also going out of their way to accommodate my weak pallet and customizing their Coconut Soup for me week after week, making a special batch with less spice and no mushrooms. My boyfriend raves about their Tom Yum...
Read moreYou will absolutely love the THAI SAAP! We were visiting Quincy, Mass., celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary this weekend and craving Asian cuisine. We stumbled upon this restaurant which happen to be close to the hotel we were staying at and so happy that we did. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, then you would love this restaurant. We were told it’s a family run business. The owner was so kind, courteous and helpful. She made some meal suggestions and let me tell you, the crab meat fried rice she suggested is to-die-for. As authentic as it comes. It was so delicious we even got a to-go-order. The make your own chicken/shrimp dish was so toothsome with all the right flavorings. No doubt if we’re ever back in Quincy, we will be visiting the THAI SAAP again. Thanks to all the family members at THAI SAAP for such a great experience. We loved the food And excellent customer...
